Thanks to everyone who wrote today pointing out that in this interview with Chris Rankin (Percy), it was mentioned that newcomer Gemma Padley has been cast as Penelope Clearwater! (The article also seems to confirm that Mark Williams has been cast as Mr Weasley.)

Harry Potter returned to Gloucester this week and children are flocking to the site in an attempt to catch a glimpse of their pint-sized hero (from Empire Online).

Coca-Cola spent big money for last year's tie-in to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and will do much the same for the upcoming sequel. But while Harry thrived at the box office -- ticket sales topped $300 million in North America alone -- Coke's soda volume didn't get a major boost from the blockbuster film.

Harry Potter fans and bird enthusiasts from all walks of life are invited to help track "Harry Potter's owl" and other birds Feb. 15-18, in the fifth annual Great Backyard Bird Count .

The Sun is carrying an article today which mentions that seven carpenters working on the set of the second Harry Potter film have been sacked for going on a booze bender (thanks to Gary at the HP Intayside site for the link).
