Empire Online reports that Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone has won the Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Technical Achievement.

The magic touch of Harry Potter helped boost the shares in Hornby, the maker of classic train and racing car sets, after it said it expected profits to significantly exceed market expectations after a strong Christmas trading period.

A recent article from the Guardian Unlimited reports that composer John Williams is booked for, among other things, Harry Potter II and III.
