Harry Potter was out and about in the Highlands yesterday – or was he? Glenfinnan [Scotland] was the location for a Harry stand-in to film scenes for the forthcoming movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Items from each of the five films nominated for the best costume Oscar this year are on display through May 3 in the galleries of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles [California]. Featured are glittering gowns worn by Nicole Kidman in “Moulin Rouge,” as well as pieces from “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,” “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, “Gosford Park” and “The Affair of the Necklace.”
