Teenage wizard Harry Potter’s latest disappearing trick is to vanish from travellers’ luggage – it was revealed today that the JK Rowling novels are the most likely books to be left on trains. (From the Yorkshire Post.)

The “Word Wizards” of Knightstown High School [Indiana] cast quite a spell on the crowd at Bundy Auditorium Thursday night. For starters, the four female teachers took top honors in the 15th Annual Henry County Literacy Coalition Spelling Bee. They also took home the prize for best costume. Sporting long black robes, colorful ties and tiny, round spectacles just like that famous wizard Harry Potter, the Knightstown crew waved their magic wands and spelled their way to a victory after 15 grueling rounds of verbal competition and a written test of knowledge.
