The Daily Telegraph has a profile on the artist who did the cover for the UK edition of Philosopher’s Stone. Thomas Taylor was a recent art-school grad when he was paid a flat fee of less than £300 to illustrate the cover of J K Rowling’s first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, seven years ago, and now, he’s moving to France because the cost of living in the UK is too high, he said.

The Leaky Cauldron is not associated with J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros., or any of the individuals or companies associated with producing and publishing Harry Potter books and films.
