Schools all over the world are feeling the pressures of the economy according to the Plymouth Evening Herald. Last week, a total of 700 books were removed from the shelves of Thornbury Primary in Estover, Plymouth in the UK because budget pressures meant it could no longer afford to remain a member of the city council's school library service. The store manager has even promised five copies of the new Harry Potter book when it is published next month.
