Mini-Conference in Riverside, California

If you're in the Riverside, California area, UCR is hosting a mini-conference on Harry Potter tomorrow afternoon. The free conference, set for 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 in UCR's Humanities 1500, is a joint effort of UCR’s English Department and the Center for Ideas and Society, and topics include attacks on the series by those interested in banning the books, the educational philosophies of the founders of Hogwarts, and the relationship between sports and imperial attitudes.
