Our Floo partner, the Hogwarts Galleries, is looking for a few talented volunteers to add to its staff of one! More specifically, it needs two permanent editors and three people for a specific project (and possibly more projects down the line).
Applicants should have the following qualifications/abilities/skills:

  • Enthusiasm! It's what drives the entire Floo.

  • A deep and abiding love of all things imagical. Yes, imagical.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and work independently

  • Photo scanning expertise.

  • Ability to use Photoshop 7 or CS, especially actions and droplets.

  • A thorough understanding of image resolutions and their differences.

  • Experience with FTP programs.

  • Some sort of chat client (Y!M/AIM/MSN/IRC/etc.)

  • Innate organizational skills

One of the jobs will be a database enhancer; this person will add keywords to already-uploaded images, recommend new categories as needed, add metadata to images and more info on individual pictures if time allows. This person should have all the above qualifications but also enjoy database work. (Only a web connection is required.)

Editors will be helping to process and upload hundreds of images, so ease with photo software and organization guidelines is a must. To apply, DON'T email Leaky - instead send an email to hogwartsgallery@gmail.com. Thanks guys, and we hope to welcome you to the team!
