Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is lending her support for a Multiple Sclerosis fundraiser in England. The author donated a signed copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for auction at a charity fundraiser to support the Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis. The fundraiser takes place on April 29th.
J.K. Rowling also recently wrote a letter to The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, a group founded to give support and information to those who are caring for someone who is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.
She writes:

“Having seen my mother suffer with MS, and the way it affected her life, I cannot imagine what it would have been like if I had been 12, and trying to look after her and possibly my siblings too. I’m really pleased that young people who are looking after someone with MS and other illnesses can get practical advice and support.”

J.K.Rowling is very involved with raising awareness of MS, and has a link to the MS Society Scotland on her website.
