A rare public display of original handwritten work by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is coming soon to the Seven Stories Centre in the UK. The Irish Examiner reports that

“Author JK Rowling has lent the new Seven Stories centre in Newcastle upon Tyne a hand-written draft of chapter six of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone which is titled The Journey from Platform Nine and Three Quarters. Also on show will be a black and white drawing which she produced for inclusion in the first novel.”

According to the centre’s website ” Seven Stories is the only place in the UK which is actively collecting original artwork by British writers and illustrators for children. Generous donations of work have been received from many leading figures in the world of children’s literature.” J.K. Rowling’s work will be on display with other work from authors such as “Roald Dahl, Quentin Blake, Philip Pullman and Philippa Pearce- much of it never seen in public.”

Update: The BBC has also posted this same story with a small photo of the chapter and drawing, here.
