Forbes has just published a column about book burnings that mentions Rev. T.D. Turner from Michigan, whose Harry Potter torchings have fanned flames before. This time, however, Ray Bradbury, author of the iconic anti-censorship book Fahrenheit 451, has stepped up to defend Jo Rowling, stating that the pastor burning the novels, “sounds like a stupid man. He just shoots off his mouth, and he should just go somewhere, sit down and shut up.”

Bradbury continues, “He [Taylor] doesn’t know what witchcraft is…There’s nothing wrong with the Potter books, because they’re not promoting witchcraft. They’re promoting being wise.”
