3-D Order of the Phoenix?

Last month, we told you Warner Brothers was going to release the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film in IMAX the same day as it would be released into general theaters. At the very end of the press release, there was a brief mention of possibly converting a portion of the film into IMAX 3-D. Today, the USA Today has more on this, reiterating IMAX is talking to Potter producers about incorporating 3-D into the new Harry Potter film. Quotage:
The company also is talking to the producers of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, due in July 2007, about having some scenes in 3-D. Separately, "we have a handshake on a couple of projects," says Imax co-CEO Richard Gelfond.
We do not know which scenes they are considering having in 3-D, and will update with more on this when we can. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released next year on July 13, 2007.
