At the Emmy Awards tonight, “The Girl in the Cafe,” directed by Order of the Phoenix director David Yates, was named “Best Made for TV Movie,” along with a win for “Best Writing,” and an acting award for supporting actress Kelly Macdonald. Mr. Yates, who had been named as a contender in the “Best Director” category for his work on Cafe, lost out to “Elizabeth 1.” After announcing the winner of this award, the presenters commented that David could not be there to accept, as he was at work on the next Harry Potter movie. “The Girl in the Cafe” can be seen currently on HBO. Congratulations to David and the entire team of Cafe! Thanks to all who let us know!
