“Order of the Phoenix” Box Office Totals Continue to Soar

According to the latest box office figures, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix continues to reach new heights both stateside and worldwide. With this weekend’s box office receipts totaling over $9.5 million, the fifth film in the series surpassed Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and is now in third place among the entire Harry Potter film series to date, with a total domestic gross of $262 million. Chamber is now in fourth place with $261 million, while Sorcerer’s Stone leads the pack with total a domestic gross of $317 million. Worldwide, Order of the Phoenix has earned a staggering $772 million in only 27 days of theatrical release.
