Happiest of birthdays to you!!!! I love dumbledore!!!!

I wish that the old Dumbledore was back! He would never have pushed Harry into the trophies and yelled at him in GoF!

Happy birthday Michael Gambon! Hope you have a great one! And don’t mind the negative comments, some people seem to always bring back OLD stuff (yawn). I also think you are fantastic! Can’t wait to see you portray our beloved Dumbledore again in HBP!

Dumbledore is my favorite character and I don’t care what people say, (ok, I agree a few scenes were very off, but) over all I love Michael’s Dumby.

Michael Gambon is a living legend and a great, multi-layered, complex Dumbledore. Happy birthday, Sir!

Happy Birthday, to a wonderful actor! May you have many more: “Sherbert Lemon, Acid Pops, Licorice Snaps, Tons Of Toffee(from Bertie Botts) and Honey Mead!” And ANYTHING else your little heart desires! You’re fantastic!!!

Speaking of glasses. I noticed in OOTP that Gambon is almost never wearing them. Only during the opening feast does he have glasses on. I thought his performance was great in the last movie, but theres no excuse for not wearing glasses. His eyes just look droopy and worn-out with out them. It makes loads of difference.

Thats nothing compare to what we know about him after DH. I loved Gambon in PoA. My complaints about the movies are how they are done except poa, that was great movie, and emma’s acting specially in gof.

Happy birthday mr. gambon.

Hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!!!!!

Happy birthday! I prefer his DD – even though he got a bit aggressive in GoF – to that of Richard Harris’s who looked like he might die any second. Can you really see him battling with Voldemort in OotP? He would’ve had a heart-attack! I also think Gambon’s PERFECT to play the manipulative DD in Deathly Hallows…

He’s awesome and has done far more than Harry Potter so I wish people would just cut the slack. Btw, he’s hilarious!

Avatar Image says:

Avatar Image says:

Happy birthday! I love the character and the way you play him. (although I imagine Dumbledore as the old one)

Avatar Image says:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! your a great actor and i really like u as dumbledore even though i loved old dumbledore your still amazing !!!

Richard Harris never read the books. Gambon read POA and he’s notorious for lying in interviews. He once said he was a ballet dancer, which is a lie. The infamous shoving moment in GoF is consistent with the direction of the entire film. If you watch the film closely, everyone from Madame Maxime to Fred and George are overly physical. It was all part of his boarding school anarchy point of view. It is okay to have an opinion about Gambon’s performance, but calling him evil and being so negative on the man’s birthday is just plain immature.

Happy Birthday Michael Gambon!

Maybe we can get him a set of the HP books for his birthday, seeing as how he’s never read them.

Michael Gambon sucks…. They should completely kick him out the movies and get Ian McKellan to play our beloved Dumbledore. Having him play Dumbledore just completely ruins the movie for me b/c DD is like such an important part of the books. That idiot is an arrogant a-hole who doesn’t even care enough to read the books. Most respected and talented actors make sure that they know and understand their character they are portraying. A lot of actors even go to the extreme to shave their hair off or starve themselves or gain a lot of weight just for their movie role. I respect actors like that. Those are the kind of actors that i’ll go watch a movie for b/c they want their work to be the best it can be. I DON’T respect actors like him. And i really don’t care if ya’ll think i’m rude b/c it’s the truth and you all know it.

Avatar Image says:

Yeah, because you are the sole arbiter of truth. I hope someone gives you some manners for your birthday.

Avatar Image says:

happy birthday, Michael Gambon! best wishes and i hope you enjoy working in the Harry Potter films!

(for the poster before Bandersnatch: i also have my own not-too-sunshiney opinion on the actor (albeit not as heartfelt as yours!) but this is so not the particular article to comment on it.)

Avatar Image says:

Happy birthday Michael Gambon! I may disagree with your depiction of Dumbledore, but you’ve done far better than any of us ever could in the role and your talent does deserve praise. :)

Avatar Image says:

Why did so many people seriously believe that he’s never read any HP book? It’s called joking, people.

Avatar Image says:

Speaking of a-holes… rolls eyes Anyway, I remember in the GOF interview on the DVD when Daniel was asked which actor resembled most the character he played, and he said Michael, because he’s rather eccentric and such an individual. I quite liked that, and I think Dan would be sorely disappointed to find some fans talking in such horrible, impolite manner about a legendary actor and someone he himself looks up to. Anyway, like joycemorrison said, this is by no means an article for such discussion, polite or not.

Avatar Image says:

Happy birthday to the perfect Dumbledore! Hope you enjoy dying in HBP! :( I won’t….

Avatar Image says:

happy bday micheal…

please read the books… just kidding… i think your a great actor…

... but … seriously… just read the books :)

Avatar Image says:

Happy birthday mr. Gambon. I think you’re doing a great job. Rather you than Ian McKellan. Yes, let the guy that played the old wizard in lotr come back to do the old wizard in harry potter. (sigh!) I think your dumbledore is much more powerfull and nuanced then that of Harris.

Avatar Image says:

AVERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A GREAT ACTOR AND WIZARD. MAY YOU ENJOY MANY MORE

Avatar Image says:

well. i hate how you play dumbledore. sorry you’re an amazing actor, though, in other roles.

Avatar Image says:

Happy Birthday Michael Gambon! You’re an amazing actor

Avatar Image says:

Why do you capitalize his name? I don’t think he deserves that.
