Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has donated an entire set of the Harry Potter novels for a charity auction in order to help the National Braille Press. The complete set of hardback books published by Scholastic have been autographed by J.K. Rowling, and the books are now currently up for auction, with proceeds to help provide braille books for the blind. Bidding for this rare set of authentic autographed Harry Potter books runs now through October 25th, at which time the auction will then be featured at a special charity gala on October 26th from 7p.m. – 9 p.m. The gala held by the National Braille Press will be hosted by comedian Jay Leno. WOW! What a wonderful way to bring HP to life, for someone who might not be able to read the books! Not the same, as “on tape”, folks! Wish I could volunteer, but I will bid! Is there a way to “donate” to this???

No one can escape Harry Potter, not even the blind and deaf. Business is everything. But in this case I think it´s ok, because the money might be used “intelligently”. But why can´t they do it whitout a gala? Do all the donators have to stare admiringly at each other and confirm how good they are?

Guess That Book
