CBBC Newsround has now posted their review of the of the Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixDVD. Presenter Lizo gave the latest DVD a 3 out of 5 rating, noting the best parts included "seeing some of the behind the scenes stuff in the Tonks feature. The long version of the scene where Umbridge inspects Professor Trelawney's Divination lesson is great. " He also lamented a few things, writing "OOTP is the longest story, and it would be nice to have a feature explaining how together the team behind the movie decided what should be cut out of the book. There's nothing from JK Rowling on here. Perhaps one day we'll get a DVD commentary from her (where as we watch the movie she talks about the scenes we're seeing). "

Also, as TLC has reported previously, those sneak peek clips of the upcoming "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" film are still not available via the link to the official UK Harry Potter website. Lizo reiterates what we reported previously that the " Half-Blood Prince sneak preview - it looks as if when you use the extras DVD in a PC, you'll be able to access an early look at the sixth film on the official website. But at the moment I can't seem to access this feature with my DVD - presumably because it won't be activated on the website until the DVD is available in the shops. "

The DVD is due on store shelves tomorrow in the United Kingdom. Thanks to the BBC!

ooh good that means I should get mine too! :)

by the way My Boy Jack was excellent last night. Dan’s performance was superb, as was that of most of the cast- Kim Cattrell and the person who played his sister were also great. You felt that they were a real family and I really really wanted Jack to survive even though I knew he wouldn’t.

Just so you know, it might help to go to the Yahoo!Movie site, even if it’s just to find out what to look for. The site, when you get to the pre-order part, gives a FULL DESCRIPTION of the contents of the item.

I have to say that most reviews I’ve read aren’t particularly favourable towards the Extras. I hear the Secrets of Harry Potter is just a 45min catch-up of the previous films in all. I wish they’d treat us with some respect rather looking at us a way for them to rake in the cash, and just release the one edition with the full package of extras…

The extras are RUBBISH, complete let down from the ones we had in the GoF DVD. I really wish WB would realise how much these films mean to us :/ I tried accessing that sneak peek thing and apparently it is down at the moment le sigh

just watched the dvd, the film gets better each viewing but the extra scenes are really rubbish. Haven’t looked at the rest yet.

there’s no way they needed two discs to fit these extras. there’s barely anything there! not counting the “hidden secrets of hp” thing, because there’s nothing new in it, you can get through the special features in about half an hour.

i’m going to take the dvd back tomorrow, because it definitely wasn’t worth £15. i’ll just wait for the single-disc version to come out and save some money.

and i even saw david yates say how great the dvd was in an online interview. ha! i wish he wasn’t doing half blood prince. anyone but him.

I thought we were going to be able to download the movei to our itunes? And is it just me or do the Quidditch uniforms for Gryffindor look weird – dont know why they had to have that extra “armor” – well whatever I hope its looks good in the movie at least
