Yep Dru, sounds like they won’t be filming HBP & DH back-to-back. Which really sucks. I was hoping for a Fall 2009 Deathly Hallows release.

Well fun fun! I’ll definitely try to make it if I’m over that way when it’s out.

They’ve been saying for a long time now that the final HP film will be out in 2010. Not really a revelation there.

its bene known quite a while that DH will come out in 2010. I’m glad they’re not filming it back to back, that was a travesty with Pirates of the Carribean. There is no reason to anyway.

No it’s definitely not a surprise that DH won’t be out til 2010 but I still was still hoping.

But yeah, yay for all of you who will be able to see Equus now, like I say you definitely won’t be disappointed ^^

I know that there’s absolutely no way that I would be able to get there, but I want to see that play so much! I mean, just the fact that Dan is in it, but it sounds like an amazing story!

I have just one nagging question… If the HP series will follow tradition and release HBP in NOvember 2008, won’t that conflict with Dan’s Equus? You can’t have Harry POtter showing in theaters and Dan naked on Broadway at the same time.

UNless Dan Rad will only be performing for a month on Broadway…

“I like him because he decided to put being an actor first, rather than play at being a star.””

Great endorsement!

As for the conflict of Equus and HBP playing at the same time… lol, it would be interesting to see the drama and the storm over that. Imagine Dan as goody two shoes Harry POtter on the movie screen and Dan as psychotic Alan Strang on the Broadway stage. Very interesting contrast.

They most assuredly would love having Harry on the screen and Hair…I mean Dan on the stage at the same time. And by “they”, I mean both the movie company and the play’s producers. Loads of free press.

Congrats to dan and Griffiths…but noooo if DH is gonna start in 2010, we have to wait another couple of years. I guess I can wait though. (I’m eager to see the trio’s performances in HPB now that all three of them have gotten a ton of experience from other works)

“I wonder about the level of reactions in the states from the fangirls.”

Their jaws are going to drop, particularly when “that” scene occurs—not that I have seen the play, I know fangirls enough for them to do that. I wonder if Melissa, John and Sue are going to see it again particularly because they live in that area (or at least Sue and Melissa).

I really can’t see why Dan couldn’t do “Equus” while doing press for HBP. I mean, he did the play run in the U.K. before OOTP came out and that movie was successful regardless of what he showed onstage. And what makes you guys think parents are going to take their little kids to see it? For one, Broadway tickets are EXPENSIVE, and there’s most likely going to be parental warnings plastered over the Playbills and at the door.

The West end run of Equus was 4 months so I expect the Broadway run to be that long too. Certainly more than 1 month. So if they start in September 2008, Dan will still be Alan Strang when the HBP machinery will take place. Two different audiences maybe but the media likes to exaggerate and I just feel that it might affect the HP franchise. Hopefully, for the better…
