I think it is pretty ironic for Americans (and I am one) to whine about not having a chance to get a part in this movie. Dudes, we get nearly everything in this world. When we have contests here, only U.S. residents are allowed to enter. Let’s graciously wish our British friends on this board good luck in getting selected.

Since the competition is open to anyone over 12, I wonder if The Scene in question might be the funeral? It’s the only crowd scene I can think of where every age group would fit in.

I entered. I won’t win but I hope someone from Leaky does

i really hope some of u huys gets the part . it sounds grat but i can’t entered (im from the us) good luck everyone who entered!!!!!!!!!!!

ah imagine winning and meeting rupert grint. it’s be like the best day ever. imagine running on to set and stamping on rufus scrimgeour’s foot or something. =D hahaha. luck to all. =D xxxx

AHHH!! boohoo! why cant US people enter!! how completely unfair…WB is a US company and Harry potter is internationally loved and read so this contest should be more international.. I would LOVE to be on that set…

Call me crazy, but the first reason that came to my mind about American’s not being able to enter was the expense of sending one of them out there.
I can’t see the reason it would be a huge huge deal if a non-Brit was allowed to stand in a massive crowd scene. It doesn’t even sound like the winner would get a line. So, personally, I don’t feel slighted by the fact that the contest is only open to British people. It would be a seriously cool prize, but logistically (and rightfully) it should go to someone who lives in the country the movie is being filmed it.

I also think thats it only UK people who can enter because offically u’d be working therefore u’d need a work permit and thats too much hassle for maybe 2 seconds of screen time at most!!

Americans shouldn’t complain… at least they get cool contests they can enter, sometimes. But canadian (and especially here in Quebec), never get anything, not even premieres. And Montreal is a big city for movie making, you’d think they’d have a HP premiere here sometime. If Japan can, why not us? Oh well. I’m still glad for UK residents, and I wish luck to people here who entered _
