Wow, she’s 42??

But she can still pass for a 17 year old ghost, good for her.

So looks so young!

Oh man, I hope I look like that when I’m 42. That gives me hope, because I’ve always looked younger than my age… Maybe I’ll do a Shirley Henderson.

Happy B-day, you youthful thing you!

How is it that she can be 42 and flawlessly play a 17-year-old? That’s some good acting! She’s perfect for Myrtle, so I hope she has a perfect birthday!

First Fudge is 80. Myrtle is 42. How old is Ron? 58? Well happy birthday Shirley Henderson and thanks for playing the role of Moaning Myrtle so brilliantly and stealing every scene you’re in.

Avatar Image says:

She’s so lucky to be so young looking! Happy birthday Shirley!

Avatar Image says:

Wow, that’s amazing! I had no idea she was playing young, let alone that young. Holy cow.

Avatar Image says:

Holy cow! I would have never thought she was 42! That is amazing!!

Avatar Image says:

Holy Mackerel!!! 42! Who would have guessed? She also played a great Jude in Bridget Jones (with Renee Zellweger and Gemma Jones). She passes as Myrtle perfectly. With a face like that, I wouldn’t be surprised if she still gets carded for drinks :) Lucky her, and definitely something to aspire to. Happy Birthday, Shirley!

Wow. 42. Had no idea. That’s a good number…the meaning of life, the universe, and everything for that matter. Seeing as no one seems to have had any idea that was how old she was, perhaps it was a typo? That’s irrelevent though. If that’s how old she is, than she certainly is a good actress.

Avatar Image says:

wow! i thought she was like 20…

Avatar Image says:

Helios Lightra: No she is indeed actually that old. Not a typo. Impressive huh? Well Happy Birthday to her. :)

Avatar Image says:

My, oh my! Let me add my praise, for her youthful appearance, too! You, Ms Shirley, are one beautiful YOUNG lady and wonderful actress, to boot. The kind anyone would aspire to! A happy and wonderful birthday! May your years always be kind and your dreams come true!

Wow, Shirley! You look STUNNING. And you’re extremely talented!

Keep up the great work :)

Avatar Image says:

Professor Potter-

Fudge is 80, Myrtle is 42, Snape is 61, contrarily Flitwick is 37 and Voldemort is only 44! Go figure ;)

Avatar Image says:

I can only echo everyone else’s Wows! My 8-yr-old was looking at this with me and she couldn’t believe it was really Moaning Myrtle. Well, Shirley, you give hope to this 30-something! Happy Birthday!

Avatar Image says:

Rupert Grint is 19 I think. Tom Felton is 20. Go figure. I really like Shirley Henderson as myrtle, especially as myrtle is one of my favourite characters. Shirley plays her amazingly.

Wow! I did google her once and it said she was born in the 60’s on wikipedia and i thought it was a mistake or something. Not trying to be rude, but do you think that i might be a disorder or something like that? Just wondering. Happy Birthday!

Avatar Image says:

Yup! Born 24 November 1965!

And cute too.

Happy Birthday Shirley!

You do a great job as Myrtle! I also liked you in the Bridget Jones movies.

I hope you spent your birthday surrounded by those who helped you feel special on your special day!

I’ve seen Shirley Henderson in real life. In was in Gap at Oxford Circus about a year ago. She was in there buying a coat with a companion and before I realised it was her, I thought she was some 16 year old girl. She’s tiny, has a high-pitched voice and literally looks like a teenager. We all want genes like that, don’t we?

Avatar Image says:

Happy birthday, Shirley!

Man, she looks good for her age, doesn’t she? (crosses fingers in hopes that Henderson will be in HBP film)

Avatar Image says:

Wow, she looks amazingly young! Really, 42…I hope I look that good when I turn 42!

Avatar Image says:

Holy flippin cow, 42? I had to look this up to believe it myself. Sure enough, she was born in ‘65.

The only non-Potter role I’ve seen her in was in an ep of Dr. Who. Even then she looked young.

Avatar Image says:

You could never tell she was 42 ! Not just as myrtle , but in general !

But she is very talented – and I know this is late – but Happy Belated Birthday ! :)

Avatar Image says:

42??? 42??!!!! Good God! And did someone say the actor who plays Fudge is 80? 80?? Wow. You just never know.

Avatar Image says:

Happy Birthday!!!!! Who would have guessed that she is 42? She’s really young looking. Ha! Reminds me, she was ALSO in an episode of Doctor Who as well. Love and Monsters…I think the episode was called.

Avatar Image says:

42!! I didn’t believe it until I checked IMDB! Cool! That explains the extra-depth she gives to the character of Myrtle while totally embarrassing Harry at the Prefects bathroom, lol! Belated Birthday wishes Shirley. My b’day is just 2 days before yours, different year :) I wish I looked as young as you though!

Avatar ImageGiant Squid says: Well, Happy Birthday, you do not look a day over 12!
