I guess I’m the only Madonna fan. I wouldn’t have minded. I thought it would’ve been cool. She didn’t have to play anyone specific. She could’ve just been an extra as a student.

Melissa, it seems a little too coincidental for me to believe that you’ve had this information for days and just merely forgot to post it, since TLC always posts news from Warner Bros. really fast all of the time. Surely if you didn’t post it, another one of your staff members would have on your behalf?
To me, it looks like you only “remembered” after TheSnitch posted it and after other fan websites had posted about it too and sourced TheSnitch. Don’t get me wrong, I do like you and think you do a fab job with the website, but it just seems to me like you don’t want to credit other Harry Potter websites for news that comes from Warner Bros. that you don’t get first, since a friend of mine told me TheSnitch got this news first, hence why everyone has credited them.

I’m sorry you feel the need to be cynical here. And I’m more sorry you felt the need to come here and insult our coverage. We certainly haven’t faulted anyone for calling this news “exclusive,” even though that’s a very liberal definition at best. It’s only exclusive if WB told no one else, and, cleearly, they did. TheSnitch had this news along with many others. If we had gotten it from TheSnitch it would be posted it was from the Snitch, as is our usual (and unusual among fan sites, even while we are liberally stolen from) policy. We quite like the Snitch and credit them often, but will not do so when they are not the source.

Well, to me it looks like Dave was just bringing up a concern of his and wasn’t insulting TLC’s coverage, he even asked after your health, Melissa…so I don’t really think you should be so snippy with him. And I’m really not surprised that you won’t show the email from “days ago” – did anyone really expect that you’d say any differently? I really don’t care for an argument here on the comment boards so I’ll keep this really simple, but I didn’t see “many other sites” posting this information, I only saw 2 others in addition to TLC and The Snitch, and they were Snitch Seeker and Veritaserum, like I mentioned in my first comment. That’s not “many” to me, and they both posted it after The Snitch had it and credited them.
