Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that Rickman doesn’t care for HP too much? This isn’t the first time: he doesn’t talk about it at all. I’ve also heard from Phoenix123 (IMDB users know who I’m talking about) that he appears cold on set.

Timothy Spall (Peter Petigrew) is also in Enchanted as the evil Queens hench man. The funny part is after the movie my mother said to me who is that man I see him playing a rat.

Well I don’t really like Rickman. I’ve heard bad things about him on set of HP from Phoenix too. H esaid he’s snobbish and stuff…Well,he doesn’t talk about HP and I don’t know why…It’s strange. Imagine that his role in HBP is very big and signficant. At least, in the final two films he must be satisfied with the amount of screentime he will have.
About Helena, I completely adore her. She’s the best Bellatrix EVER. So, she’s actually filming in February huh? Cool. I really really reallyyyyy do think that her part will not only be in the beginning of the film but she will also be featured in the battle.I can’t wait

@Lilja & john: Rickman has given interviews in the past, and has said he really enjoys working on HP. I don’t see him being snobbish, don’t say it unless you can back it up with people actually saying it.
A quote from an interview regarding his colleagues:
“What do you think of your young colleagues in the Harry Potter movies?
They are all fantastic. True professionals. I can attest to the degree to which they take their work seriously, all the while remaining children. Their performances have equally progressed enormously in the course of the films. It’s a true joy to perform with these actors who believe so much in what they’re doing. They’ve all grown up so much since the first Harry Potter, just like their characters. I think it’s great that they can all develop together.”

I believe the reason he is not saying anything is, because he can't, I doubt WB wants him to say to much, since he comes into focus in this film.

WICKED!
I think that the lovely Alan Rickman does not talk too much about HP is two fold. First, he had been trying to keep Snape a mystery and also he respects the “gag” order that WB has on discussing the characters and the future. Also, if he answered questions he would never get to talk about his other projects.
Rickman is a very private man, but he has a delightfully dry sense of humor, and we who post know, sometimes that deosn’t come across well in print.

I’ve never seen the play, but I can’t wait to see this movie. It looks too good to mis, plus its Johny Depp! :D

I love Rickman’s work and I’m not at all surprised that he did not want to talk about HP in this interview. He wasn’t there to promote HP, he was there to promote “Sweeney Todd”.
HP is only a very small portion of his body of work, and really not his most important. (I’d say not his best, but he’s always good – just underserved.)

Rickman and Depp in the same film… proof that God exists.

Alan Rickman is hilarious. I certainly hope that a HP musical is about as likely as “Harry Pooter”. (shudder)

Cannot friggin WAIT for this movie!!! Thanks for the updates TLC!

I KNOW this to basically accurate. Alan Rickman loves the role of Snape and whilst I do not know for sure that he was tipped off by the great lady some years ago about Snape’s destiny, I believe “he did receive some good encouragement” He is looking forward immensely to the next two films.

Oh, I couldn’t agree more with you! My two favorite actors!
Does Johnny Depp really like Tim Burton and vise-versa? They’ve done a lot of movies together… Corpse Bride, Edward Scissorhands, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow… Am I forgetting anything?

Never got to see “Sweeney Todd” on B’way, but Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter make the film a MUST SEE!
