As reported here previously, the press launch for the release of the “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” DVD was held in London over the weekend. The official website of actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has been updated with the first photos from this event. At this link you can see photos of Emma taken by her father on the set of the films at Leavesden Studios in England.
The “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” DVD will be released in the UK on November 12, with the North American release date set for December 11.
Hermione is a character who is a brunette, and Emma is an actress,a real person who gradually went from brunette to blonde. That is her choice of hair colour and if WB doesn’t mind that it no longer fits the character she plays then who are we to complain? The actor’s hair colour doesn’t always match the character’s in the book and the following are all examples:
Daniel’s hair should’ve been dyed pitch black if they wanted an exact match with the character. In the first movie his hair colour was digitally blackened, now they can’t even bother. And his eyes aren’t green either.
Tom Felton is a brunet in real life as are the Phelps twins and Bonnie. That’s one bottle blond and three bottle redheads. They should seriously consider hair colour ads.
Rupert however, is as real a redhead as Ron is in the books.
Haircolour aside, I think the acting is more important really.
Bonnie is a brunette according to the person who wrote this report. And she was also a brunette in the Swiss Family Robinson which was shot way before she got the role of Ginny. But that does not mean anything of course. She can still be a natural auburn, though I highly doubt her her would grow out that fast for HBP if it is brown now. She’ll probably colour it back.
