There is new footage from the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” film included on the US Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD. Readers will recall that when the UK saw the release last month, there were two special sneak peeks at the sixth Harry Potter film included via the DVD; today there is new video with the sneak peek, including some fantastic shots of Draco (Tom Felton) cursing Harry on the train, and Harry and Ginny, the interior of Slughorn’s home, and even dialog between Professor Dumbledore and Harry discussing Horcruxes (yes really!). Also new are various interviews conducted recently at the DVD launch in London, England, including new quotes from actress Emma Watson (Hermione), Matt Lewis (Neville), Rupert Grint (Ron) a hilarious quote from Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) discussing the Ron/Lavender snogging scenes, as well as quotes from producer David Heyman and HBP director David Yates. To watch (SPOILERS AHOY) click here via our galleries.

Many thanks lark and flaquita

Jeannine – That’s nice that you think so. HP is loved universally the world over. Therefore all HP fans should be entitled to the same features. The normal UK 2 disc version, is poor. But appartently the HD and Blu-ray dvds have MORE features… why? It’s non-sensical.

Anyway, I’m glad you guys in the US have your DvDs now. The wait is over.

Is there something going on between Apple and Time Warner. First, HP7 still isn’t available on iTunes. Now the Disk case clearly states that the digital version isn’t compatible with Mac’s or iPod. Guess I’ll have to find a hacked copy

I agree with Jeannine (and funny enough she agreed with me in another post haha)- I am in the US and all the dvds should be the same, and released at the same time. The last thing that this world needs is more animosity, and certainly not Potter-related animosity! Isn’t that one of the main messages in the Harry Potter epic? I suppose corporate didn’t read the story.. :-)

I wouldn’t feel too left out Kevin. It’s not just the ipd/apple.

I don’t know anyone who’s been able to get the portable version to work.

Have any of you guys been able to get the portable file to work? On what and how?

AWESOME! Ok, now I’m all pumped up… but I can’t be, I have to do a goddamn essay in 4 hrs! Anyway, WOOT for Ginny/Harry …. but what really got me was that we will have that Draco scene in the train! Yay! :)

I really like Draco’s hair and look. Very Death Eater Nouveau.

It’ll be excellent to see him burst into tears. [evil laugh]

I have a Mac too Kevin, so I feel your pain. It’s probably easier to release a PC only format than to release a Universal one. Besides places like Blockbuster and Netflix do the same thing, and they’re only for the PC. I think the more Apple computers there are in the world, the more likely everything will be universal one day.

As for different versions having different additional features, I think it’s a bit crazy too. I have no problem with the two-disc edition having more features than the one-disc, that is expected. But for the HD and Blu-ray to be different, is strange. You’re just asking for things to land on youtube.

LOL Jupe! I agree with what you’ve said. But I have a feeling that I’ll get such a crush on Tom in this movie that when that moment comes, I just might burst into tears with him. {giggles}

omg! Quidditch is back! The uniforms look okay, too much padding for Harry’s since he a seeker, and seekers need to be flexable as possible to catch the snitch. Draco, look really nice with his hair like that, better than the bowl cut. But I like it when his hair was slick back, since it look more like his father and more Dracoish. Alas, better than the dang bowl cut.

I hate that DVD’s aren’t the same world over. My sis sent one to my mom from Australia and it won’t work because we do not have “international” dvd players. It is really dumb.

I do have a question. Emma said that it was great to be back. I thought she didn’t start filming for another week?
