There is new footage from the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” film included on the US Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD. Readers will recall that when the UK saw the release last month, there were two special sneak peeks at the sixth Harry Potter film included via the DVD; today there is new video with the sneak peek, including some fantastic shots of Draco (Tom Felton) cursing Harry on the train, and Harry and Ginny, the interior of Slughorn’s home, and even dialog between Professor Dumbledore and Harry discussing Horcruxes (yes really!). Also new are various interviews conducted recently at the DVD launch in London, England, including new quotes from actress Emma Watson (Hermione), Matt Lewis (Neville), Rupert Grint (Ron) a hilarious quote from Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) discussing the Ron/Lavender snogging scenes, as well as quotes from producer David Heyman and HBP director David Yates. Maybe this has already been addressed by now but I don’t want to have too read 8 pages of comments. The DVD extras ARE THE SAME!!!! We have the same special features as the British release. The British release had one link to a sneak preview of HBP on their DVD and now the American release has a link to different footage on that DVD. The footage isn’t on the dvd it self, it’s on the net just like the british one was and I think still is. You got footage we didn’t get, now we have footage you didn’t get. We’re equal. But luckily due to youtube and other various media sharing sites and methods WE BOTH GET TO SEE BOTH!!! If we HAD got the same preview it would have been only ONE of the two sneak peeks. We would have both only gotten only one sneak peak. We would have got less HBP footage. Get it? This is a good thing! We have the exact same special features disks as you do it just gives a different link to new HBP footage when you put the dvd in your PC.

I agree, getting jealous of every actress that is going to kiss Dan is ridiculous. So what if Bonnie doesn’t have a perfect face? Who does? She’s quite pretty as she is. If anything, the facial flaws make her more real. And more power to her if she doesn’t care about what other people think and just dresses and looks the way she wants to. She could pile on tons of makeup if she wanted to, but she doesn’t, and that’s fine.
So, down with superficiality, I say! It’s annoying!

Is what you said. How was my elucidation not the same just because I phrased it a tad bit differently?
Hermione never gets timid when Harry is angry? Firstly, Hermione is the most timid and panicky of the trio. Yes I realize she is not in the movies, but movie Hermione is frankly not Hermione (Ron is the one that flips out over stuff all the time in the movies). Secondly, she certainly does! DH when Ron is gone and they’re at the tents, and several scenes in Ootp. Harry never yells at his friends? Ootp? He SCREAMS at them. When Harry is capslock raging, Hermione can do nothing except be timid and cry and sometimes struggle to make a point. Ron can’t do anything either. He has no idea how to handle it. That’s perfectly fine. Ginny however, can. And has. More than once. Dumbledore’s death, his Voldemort possession angst in Ootp, etc.
I love Hermione but I don’t love the super-Hermione that’s being put forward here. That is not her. Hermione is a smart girl and a strong girl and she’s a fantastic character, but she does freak out easily, she is weepy, and she does not know how to handle Harry’s excess anger and temper. Not at all. Hermione is great because of her flaws and her strengths both. That’s what makes her a strong heroine.
You said you wanted Ginny to be “more like Hermione.” Then she wouldn’t be Ginny or her own unique character. Hermione is not a good match for Harry, and that’s why Ginny’s not like Hermione.
Kelly- I am so sorry that you feel that all of my comments on this board are directed at you and are so negative against Ginny. I think you misinterpreted everything I have said. You are perfectly entitled to your comments and opinions on all characters. Although I disagree with you on many points, I completely repsect your right to say what you like. So would you do me the kind favor as to respect mine in return, as it has become quite clear that you are not.
My point was that if you choose to enter into a debate with someone on here, it is proper to quote what the other person said, and then make your counter-arguement, normally followed by facts supporting your argument. Then give the other person a chance to rebut and so forth, all in a respectful manner. What would I know though, I only have a Master’s degree in Communication.
Harry and Ginny!!!! OMG!!! Rejoice Ginny fans, our time has come at last!!!!

I hate how lots of people hate Ginny and hate Harry/Ginny together
JUST because they think the actress is ugly. Personally, I think she fits the role of Ginny very well.
Although I understand where some Harry/Hermione shippers come from, I’m a strong H/G shipper and like what you said, Kelly, Ginny can handle Harry’s temper.

trying to find the sneek peaks of the next film was trying to find a needle in a haystack…u stick ur special features disc into ur computer and it gives u the same stuff as it would on the tv and doesn’t tell you how to get to the sneek peaks…this is the only bad thing about the dvd…i mean this is terrible…need to make that better next time.
