Amazon.com has now posted a second synopsis from "The Tales of Beedle the Bard." As mentioned in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the collection of fairy tales were collected in a special handwritten book, auctioned by J.K.Rowling to benefit The Children's Voice charity. Purchased yesterday by the online retailer, Amazon has now posted an overview with plot detail of "The Fountain of Fair Fortune,"which you can read via this link. A permanent link to the Beedle the Bard tales at Amazon.com can be accessed at www.amazon.com/beedlebard. Thanks Alex!

Did anybody notice they had one of the Hogwarts hogs over the door at Sotherby’s? Nice touch—that and the engraved or painted glass with the illustration.

I don’t know why they say “spoilers”—it’s not like anybody will be able to read it unless she allows it to be published one day. Or maybe that’s a hint that she will?

Wow! I’m nearly crying, sighing, gasping, laughing, and gawking at the creativity, enchantment, love, friendship, and unity displayed by the characters in her fairy tales. Way to go, Rowling, and Kudos, Amazon, for sharing!

I have to believe that a “consumer” version of the book will be released some day. I think that is why the “spoiler alert” is there. But speaking as someone who started in the HP world by watching the first three movies, I can attest to the fact that even though I has a “summary” knowledge of the story the books were just so much richer. That’s what I think will happen with the full story version of the “Tales of Beedle the Bard”. And remember that we’ve already heard one of the stories read in full, from the original runes.

As everyone else is saying.. WOW. I’m at home sick today and reading these stories has definitely raised my spirits. I especially like the fountain story. I’m glad the knight didn’t drown in the end!!! LOL :)

Wow, I’m so pleased that Amazon won and was great enough to share it with fans…The ending of The Fountain of Fair Fortune was excellent; what an unforgettable ending! Although the hopping pot was quite entertaining.

“Thank you Amazon” my foot !

Mega greedy corporation uses its power to advertise itself and exploit gullable Harry Potter readers who will never read the stories. Its all disgusting and its all the fault of the author.

This is brilliant! But I wish they could type it out exactly in Jo’s own words….

well, i’m not going to read the summaries, even though they sound wonderful. i’ll wait and see if the book will be published some day. i’m in no hurry, but you can only read something for the first time once, and i don’t want to “spoil” it.

M Jones: Wtf? Would you rather a private individual have purchased it? If that had happened we would have NO idea what contents the book held.

Donating 4 mill to charity. So disgusting…

On that end note- Thank you amazon!

What a great story! I know I’d never write it as well as Jo did, but I’d love to write my own complete version of the stories and read them to my kids xD

Oh. Wait..

I don’t have kids yet. lol. Maybe later, then xD

...she looked directly at Harry and Ron and said grimly, "I've become accustomed to seeing the Quidditch Cup in my study, boys, and I don't really want to have to hand it over to Professor Snape, so use the extra time to practice, won't you?"
