Oh my god. That was just SO fantastic, I don’t know what to say. Jo sounded so warm and sincere, like she really, really cares about the books and the fandom and what people think. It was so great to hear her when she’s not on a news show or anything like that. And I love the sound of her voice. It’s very soothing. I can’t wait for the next show! This is truly one of the best Christmas presents ever! Jo is my #1 idol/person I look up to. Jo, you ROCK!!!!!!! btw-If you guys release the next part next tuesday, it will actually be Christmas. I loved the phone tree! It was hilarious!

I listened to the interview on my run this morning. I started crying when Jo did the introduction (seriously, how special is THAT??), then I ran 5 miles with a huge grin on my face. Please allow me to relate how unusual and rare it is to associate smiling with running. It is much more common to see me crying, thank-you.

I second the earlier poster who said listening to Melissa, John and Sue is like listening to my friends. The fact that my friends just had a thoughtful, fun conversation with JKR is mind-blowing. It very well could have been my neighbor, Mrs. Shank; it seems so other-worldly.

The best part about this will be watching my 8 year old daughter’s reactions while she listens to it.

OK, Mrs. deMP – you killed me. That’s hilarious.

These reactions have been so touching, guys. I’m so, so moved that you guys feel this was like listening to friends – that’s what we hoped. And that you’re seeing it as what JKR and we intended it would be – a special christmas treat for fans – is just perfect. We were so nervous that you’d like it, and I had a big relief this morning when I woke up to my mother’s IM: “EVERYONE LOVES IT AHHHHHHH!” LOL. I love my mom.

So, thank you, and we’re so glad you’re enjoying it and hope you enjoy next week’s too!

I agree totally with everyone. Was a great interview, can’t wait for next week. But my question, a rather BIG one for most fans who have agreed, is why didn’t Neville and Luna get together in the end? I thought they were perfect together. Had wierd fungi they liked in common, very similar in personality. Guys, why didn’t you ask that? I know he is with Hanna, but just didn’t make sense. I saw the build up between Luna and Neville’s personalities, and just wanted to know if she at least was thinking of that. I hope that is answered sometime in the future. PLEASE JO!!! We love you! :)

I think my favorite thing about all of this is the fact that when John started cracking jokes that Jo just gave it right back to him! HAHA she’s great.

Am downloading now so I can listen to bits while at work ;)

Thank you so much for this. TLC is my favorite site because they always have every story and their enthusiasm is always contagious. But this goes beyond the normal bounds of awesomeness into hitherto uncharted realms of… they’ll have to invent a new word for how cool this is. Splendificent? Awesomecellent?

Melissa? I love that your mom knows how to IM! She’s rockin’ with the technology!

And John? I’m using “pants” on a daily basis now: much more child friendly.

guh! i loved every minute of it but still, less fluff more details!

i especially hope she addresses how a large portion of her fan base which identifies themselves with Slytherin felt slapped in the face after the last book. or why we should respect James, cause she certainly didn’t help his fan base in DH or clarify what characteristics makes a spell “dark magic”, wether it’s intent or the type of spell itself.

Happy Happy Happy!!!

Thank you soooooo much TLC and Ms. Rowling for this wonderful interview! I absolutely loved it!

And I must add a little something here, which is quite freaky!!!!! My husband and I have been trying for a baby for over 2 years. We’ve sorta given up in a way. He knows I am a crazy Potter fan and PC listener so I joked around with him 3 months ago that I would get pregnant the day JKR would be on a show (meaning we should probably give up and go for adoption!)

GUESS WHAT! I found out this week-end that we’re finally preggo!!!!! This is the craziest thing that’s ever happened to me!

SO THANK YOU TLC FOR HAVING JKR ON A SHOW!

I don’t think I have posted my note of thanks as of yet (it’s been a busy day at work). I won’t get to listen until my train ride home from work, but I wanted to say a great big THANK YOU, to Leaky aka Sue, John and Melissa and to JKR for bringing this wonderful piece of now history to us. This interview will be remembered forever by all of us and beyond. Hearing someone’s voice is so special, similar to seeing someone on video or in a photo, it’s a moment captured in time. This moment with JKR will never be erased because you have captured it. Those words will remain because you captured them. It means to much to me personally, and to the fandom here as well. It has been a tulmultuous year for me, and then I found Harry Potter, and with that came Leaky, and the friendly fandom on here I have become so fond of. So from one beautiful moment to the next, thank you guys.

ps- the photo/graphic you have on the main page and here of Jo are gorgeous! Honestly, doesn’t she look like an angel? Well when I picture an angel, that’s what I picture :)
