I wonder if they’ll keep the Dean/Ginny stuff? I know they said this is going to be a “romantic comedy” (UGH) but they’re also going to have to cut a LOT… hmm…

I wonder if they’ll keep the Dean/Ginny stuff?
Even though I made the crack about Altoids, I have a feeling the Dean/Ginny kissing scene will be cut. I have no authority or evidence for saying that, it’s just a gut feeling.
I do, however, think that Dean/Ginny will be in the movie, albeit much less than it is in the book. After all, Dean/Ginny is so central to the eventual Harry/Ginny (seeing them together is such a powerful catalyst for Harry’s realization of his own feelings, and later it becomes the main obstacle to H/G)that if they took it out, they’d have to re-write that entire subplot. It just seems to me like it’d be a heckuva lot easier to leave it in.
(Er, sorry, didn’t mean to write so much about this subject. I’m really looking forward to all the romances subplots in HBP, but like xbella, I don’t want the movie to become a “romantic comedy”. NOOOO.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GORGEOUS. This guy is even hotter in the flesh than on screen. I’ve seen him up close and got his autograph at the OOTP World prem. He is FINE.
I too fear that they will cut the Dean/Ginny storyline. But then they always cut loads of stuff. This would have given Alfie a chance to shine in these films because so far, he’s hardly had anything to say.
I feel quite confident they have the Dean/Ginny stuff in since Harrys jealosy of Dean is a reappearing theme. So I hope they leave it in and also I wouldn’t mind seeing some more of this guy on screen. ;)
