JKRowling.com’s secret “Room of Requirement” door (accessed by clicking the eraser on her main desk and then clicking the handle on the door) is now open, revealing the map of the future generations of Harry Potter characters. Jo Rowling drew this chart while being filmed for the documentary, “JK Rowling, A Year in the Life,” which will air on British ITV tomorrow evening.

Very cool, but I do have a quesiton. Is there anywhere I can go to to get dates of births of the character? Also, I want to comment Genna… I might be wrong, but I think Remus is his son’s middle name. Teddy Remus Lupin.

This is fantastic. I wonder if Draco’s child’s name is hyphenated: Scorpius Hyperion Greengrass-Malfoy. A mouth full! :) I wonder, though, why the Weasley children had so few children themselves having grown up in such a large nuclear family. Very interesting. Thanks!

Ok….someone correct me if I’m wrong here…..we all know Jo can’t do math, but doesn’t she have the year Fred died wrong? Harry’s born in 1980, right? So he would have turned 17 at the beginning of book 7, in 1997. But the end of book 7 is in 1998. So, Fred died in 1998, didn’t he? I noticed she did the same thing with Dumbledore, she put he died in 1996. Am I missing something here?

george & angelina makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside :) i get the feeling that fred was more interested in his shop stuff, so maybe he would be okay with his ex marrying his brother. and anyhow, it was probably more of a mature relationship with g&a than fred had with her while they were, how old, like 16? makes a pretty big difference.

WOAH. Had tears when I saw that George named his kid Fred. Bloody hell. How can I keep that page? Might sound dumb, but I’m rather inept with this whole technology whatsit.

I thought Fred dated Angelina – we see her accepting such an informal ‘will u dance with me’ in GOF that I thought they were definitely dating. How did she get involved with George then? i would love to know this backstory…

I loved everyone of Ms Rowlings “Harry Potter” series. My favorites are the first one and the last one but they were all great. When I’m blessed with grandchildren I’d like to read them to them ( that’ll keep me busy for a few months) The tribute of the Nineteen Year gap is great and the way Harry named his kids to prove I think your stories are for all ages, I’m 54 and enjoyed them all

she CANT do math—-ALL of her numbers to date have been wrong I take nothing she says with numbers seriously

example: missisng 24 hrs dumbledore’s birth/death/age

dont worry, we still love you jo. youre teh best

OI! why are you all stressing from fred death date. Jo ain’t perfect so she got it wrong, yes the world has now officialy ended(rolling eyes)

on a nicer note: this tree is so cool, the names for harry’s boys well it was obvious isn’t it listed in the books or have i just read too many fanfics on the subject? i’m kind of disapointed about charlie in my imagination charlie has met a woman/ man who loves dragon as much as he does. i just love scorpy name, i have a feeling that scorpy is a much nicer boy then his dad used to be(yes i believe draco has reformed) i see a potter malfoy marrige someday. as for luna children well the names fit i mean it’s luna. george marrying angelina isn’t so weird when you think of it there was no indication in the books that she and fred were dating the only thing that happened was that they went to the yule ball together.

all in all i like the tree. scorpy is my fav.

love the names as for George and Angelina getting married its my guess it started withthe 2 of them leaning on each other for support after Fred’s death and grew from there and id be willing to bet Rose Weasley’s middle name isn’t Lavender LOLn Muriel perhaps but not Lavender asi am sure Hermione would have cursed Ron 6 ways from sunday for suggesting it ! lol

I’m sorry but am I the only one that doesn’t like the names? Yes, they include all the great people and all but why honor Luna and not Neville? I would have much preferred to see Lily Tonks (but I’m partial to Tonks). And I personally think that James Albus and Sirius Severas sound much better than the cannon way. She is a genius but even genius’ make mistakes and she has the entire Potter world in her head. I’m sure she’ll correct the dates for the Scottish Book. And whoever mentioned what to do with the timeturner – TY! I knew it was there for a reason, i just couldn’t figure it out.
