JKRowling.com’s secret “Room of Requirement” door (accessed by clicking the eraser on her main desk and then clicking the handle on the door) is now open, revealing the map of the future generations of Harry Potter characters. Jo Rowling drew this chart while being filmed for the documentary, “JK Rowling, A Year in the Life,” which will air on British ITV tomorrow evening.
I got a bit of a lump in my throught when I say that George’s first born son was named Fred. Same goes for Lily’s middle name being Luna. That’s really sweet. Thanks Jo! Yet another thing for me to sit and ponder.
why on her website ( near the bottom of the door) is there an hour-glass with numbers? iv been turning the handle and the numbers are changing..but i wonder what the significance of those are? Discuss!

Leaky, can you please pass a note along to Jo to tell her that since Fred died during the battle (May 2, as she confirmed), it was during the second part of the seventh year, making it 1998, not 1997?
I really liked how in the video Jo was saying she just had to know what happened for herself, not to publish. I really love this information though I don’t quite consider it “canon” as we know it—it’s Jo’s further information, but it’s really just for her own good. Still, it’s a lot of fun!!

The Timeturner lets you go back to old dates when the room was able to be opened. Your able to able to take the W.O.M.B.A.T.s again (the automatically give you the answers when you submit the test.).
honestly, didnt anybody notice that fred’s deathdate was wrong???? he died in 1998, not 97 cuz he died the spring/summer after harry would have started his seventh year, which would have been on september 1, 1997

emma08: Dominique is a girl. First, because, Jo said Victoire was Bill and Fleur’s oldest daughter, implying there was at least another one. Second, I speak french and I can tell you that even though Dominique can be used for girls and boys, most of the time, boys are spelled Dominic while girls are spelled Dominique.
