J.K. Rowling to Appear on Jonathan Ross, Today Show

While we are still pondering over the third and final WOMBAT which now available on JKRowling.com (yes yes the third time is the charm, as the door is FINALLY OPEN, so go take that test now!) there is some additional news about Jo this morning. NBC's The Today Show announced they will be airing a three part interview with our favorite author, with the interview segments to air Thursday, July 26 and Friday, July 27 and on "Dateline," Sunday, July 29. The press release on this states that this interview "will explore the Harry Potter phenomenon, including Rowling's notable impact on literacy, her readers, on the publishing industry, and the inspiration she has given young writers." NBC also says this interview, scheduled to take place in Edinburgh, Scotland will be " the first time she will talk about the worldwide reaction to the final Harry Potter volume and the much anticipated and guessed-about Potter finale, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." TLC will be sure to capture this video and post as soon as we can, so stay tuned!
Also Jo will be a guest on the Friday Night with Jonathan Ross program, which will air Friday 6 July at 10.35pm on BBC One. Anyone who can capture this video interview, please send it in!
Update: As a reminder of what we told you last month, Jo will also be a guest on the Blue Peter children's show, which is running a contest to attend the taping of this program. If you have not entered yet, submissions are due by June 15. The show, which is being taped July 5, will be broadcast on July 20 on the BBC.

Yes, you can get NBC becuase it is broadcast on local stations. So, as long as there is a tv where you are, you will get NBC!
Good luck on finding it where you are. If you are at all confused, call up the front desk at the hotel and ask them what channel NBC is on. If you are staying with friends, they can definately tell you what channel it is on.
Does anyone know what you can do if you have lost you WOMBAT student code? Can you get another?
what I'd really prefer is if melissa and emerson did another interview like the one they did right after the release of HBP. They always ask the best questions (or at least the ones I was most curious about) and they made sure it was heavily laden with spoiler warnings so we made sure that we read the book before reading the interview.
I really can't stand another interview about how much Harry Potter has affected the world.
Ooooh! I can't wait for both interviews! Imagine the Today Show interview! No dodging questions!
It is fantastic that she is going to appear on The Today Show - I have always admired the thorough interviews they have conducted with her each time a book has been released, even if they are somewhat redundant for us fans who already are well familiar with everything about her.
My only criticism of The Today Show? It depicts the fandom in a very limited way, by suggesting that only children underneath the age of twelve are obsessed with it. I do hope that this time around the executives and producers at NBC are willing to share with the public the many adults - the millions of them - that love the series just as passionately.

after you summited your test, they give you the ID code. that is if you answered no to the question that asks if you have student ID code at the start of the test.

The closest I would be able to compare him to would be David letterman but even that is not a good comparison. He has 3/4 guests on a week, he isn't afraid to ask hard questions but he also has fun! He is a really funny man and as someone else said he will no doubt be flirting with Jo loads.
He is my fave chat show host and Jo is my fave author so I can't wait for this interview.

Hello, sorry for my ignorance but i opened the WOMBAT door but i cant do anything with the shapes and the wombat paper is just sitting on the desk. What do i do? please help me before the door closes :) thanks very much
LaQuesha, Jonathan Ross is NOTHING like those talk show hosts you named. The closest is Conan O'Brien, but ruder (but also very funny, in my opinion). Now, he may be more er... "reigned" in with Jo than he was when he interviewed Daniel Radcliffe a few months ago. You can see some of his interviews with DR (I think there are a couple) in the Leaky video gallery.
