BBC News has a new interview online with actress Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), in which she gives her thoughts on the final Harry Potter book coming out, how she began reading the series in the first place and speaks a little about the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film. She is noted in the article as saying: “My favourite book has to be Order of the Phoenix, not because I’m in the film – but I suppose that helps! It’s the spirit of fighting back and getting ready for Voldemort that I like.”
As for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Miss Lynch says that she will be in line just as any other fan would at the midnight release on July 21st. Quoteage:
This is my schedule – I get out of a summer course on Thursday night, go to the bookshop, start queuing, queue all day Friday with my biggest Harry Potter fan friends, then read all of Friday night, all of Saturday, and then Sunday is a mourning day.
I guess some people might recognise me in the queue, but everyone is just going to be so excited for the book that they won’t care about me.
Thanks to Wendy for the heads up!
You guys know the link’s not working, right? I just love this girl – I’m not sure if it’s something about her or the fact that she’s just as big a fan of the series as the rest of us…but I’m so happy for her that she’s been able to have such an experience with something she loves. The more I see about her, the more excited I am to see her in the movie!
Yay for Harry/Luna shippers. Ever since the scene where he asked her to Slughorn’s party…it was fate, I tell you. (Forget Ginny.) Evanna is so amazing. I wonder if she’ll show up at any of the Harry Potter cons this summer; Chris Rankin did a few years back, so maybe Evanna will make an appearance.
Oh, Amy, you’re absolutely right. There are some (no pun intended) loons out there that might try to attack her or something.
Amy, I’d say she’d be alright, in Ireland we take pride in ignoring our stars! – I’ve seen Bono loads and my flatemate spoke to him and never mentioned anything about the band or fame or whatever- she was talking to his friend about cats! You never really see famous people mobbed here…unless they’re some crappy boy band! Actually I also passed Colin Farrell last summer in my local craft shop (buying paints for him Mam- bless!) and I was seriously tempted to run after him!
Holy cannoli! All day the day before? That is some pretty serious waiting! XD
She seems like such a cool little girl!
Whoot! She truely is a fan. I’m so glad that she was chosen. She has the right attitude about everything and all:)
