Rumors have been floating around the internet today concerning a ‘hacker’ obtaining a digital copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from a Bloomsbury computer and posting the alleged ending on the web. Reuters is reporting this evening that a Bloomsbury spokesperson ‘declined comment on the hacker’s claims,’ while Kyle Good, a spokesperson for US publishers Scholastic, is warning readers ‘to be skeptical about anything on the Web that claims to have inside information on the book’s plot’ saying:
“There is a whole lot of junk flying around,” she said. “Consider this one more theory.”
It is highly unlikely that any documents containing information as well protected as the seventh Harry Potter book would be on a Bloomsbury computer and as Trend Micro, a computer security company, spokesman David Perry was noted as saying:
“We’ve had hypes like this on the last couple of Harry Potter books… There is a very high level of spurious information in the hacker world.”
It is a totally impossible BS load. I mean, it may end like that but not IN THAT WAY! That something similar happens we know, we don’t just know who and how, and this BS places an easy bet on who but gets the “how” from the moon – unbelievable. If that is not enough, the last part of the predictions sounds like ‘oh, and pigs fly’, just one more big laugh – hahaha. If they would read the first 6 before…
Yes, I admit, I read it. What a load of hogwash. And I’m ashamed I even bothered, what was I thinking? I’m trying REALLY REALLY hard not to ruin this last book for myself because I did look up spoilers for the HBP. I’m just going to have to not visit certain sites and stop looking up HP news. Grrr. But what that guy wrote, I think, is utterly rediculous and goes against previous statements made by Jo! So :-P ~ ~ ~ ~ on that moron. And further more, I was Pagan long before I read a Harry Potter book! So double :-P ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Jo’s quote: “Please remember that allegations of ‘leaks’ concerning deaths in ‘Half-Blood Prince’ are very easy to make. Any comment I make on such rumours would be a spoiler, so I’ll just repeat: keep those barrels of salt handy”.
Change HBP for DH :-P

Leaky shouldn’t even be posting these stories. All you’ve achieved is make more people go look for this spoiler which in turn will be sent on to more people.
You know what? If I just saw the message alone, I probably wouldn’t believe any of it. What really scares me that the spoiler is true is the comments from those publishers!!!
I mean, if it’s really fake, they could have refused it out right!
Don’t SPOIL the fun for all the HP fans by putting spoilers in the commentary (after DH is released). Those hackers are crazy and are annoying the HP fans, don’t read any spoilers if you are a real HP fan!
I think the crappy “Sopranos” ending might make people nervous that this “hacked” ending could be the real thing.
Think about it this way, the past few seasons of “Sopranos” were crap leading to a crap ending.
The past few HP books? Beyond awesome!
In JK I trust. I don’t for one minute believe she’d serve us a crap ending.
There are tons of plausible fanfics out there, but there’s only one real ending. Arthur Levine and Mary Grand Pre’ both said it was well done. That’s good enough for me.

JUST DON’T READ IT. They’re not forcing you guys to read it, are they. If it’s fake, then why would you bother? And if it’s real you’ll just feel sorry about it later. Just ignore the crab.
Mind, I really don’t care if I end up spoiled, but that bit of slime was the most rediculous thing I’ve ever read. The man that wrote that seemingly followed more of a star wars plot if you ask me. Draco Malfoy start making Horcruxes.. ....HA.. sure, where did he learn it oh brilliant fake ending writer? Plus he has yet to do anything so stupid as to warrent needing them.
If anything else, I’d say that Harry will live just because the entire world is SO sure she’ll kill him off.
No doubt at all that HP7 was hacked! since it is available on a german server :-(
