Our favorite author has just updated her website with a new diary entry, where she asks fans to ignore all the purported Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows spoilers. Jo writes:

We are almost there! As launch night looms, let’s all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I’d like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!

Thanks Bel!

Jo, how about giving us something to keep our minds busy and off the leaks. Open the door at your website, give us a puzzle of some kind to workout, and perhaps a paragraph or two from the book too discuss among ourselves for these last two days

Everyone puts too much emphasis on the destination. It is the journey that holds all the riches. That’s why we read the books over and over.

wizardeye, have you never read a book without looking at the back first? Especially a book like Harry Potter?

There is an experience in reading a book for the first time, not knowing what is going to happen 3 pages down the road, because you, just like Harry, only find out what’s going as it comes. And this is a journey!

A person who has read or knows the spoilerific ending will have that in mind as they read, unable to savour the journey a non-spoiled person would.

There is truly something magical when you turn page by page to discover the next happening.

This is why I have held out for so long. Because I’ve been waiting for this moment. I’ve refused temptation, and I am going into this pure. .................. Wow, kinda sounds like sex, ne? But hey, who needs sex when you have Harry Potter! Rofl XD
