“Mrs, Rowling. I am a 62 year old Grandfather of 10, all of whom simply adore Harry Potter and the cast of Hogwarts students. My question: “Would you consider making ‘The World of Harry Potter,’ a television series?” It could be along the lines of a soap opera. You could start with Book 1 and show the life of Harry in more detail, before he goes to Hogwarts as well as day to day events of the students at Hogwarts, that was not possible in the books or Movies. You could actually extend this series for over 20 years if you made each semester at Hogwarts cover about three months or more. Each weekly program should be an hour and you could have them produce 25 shows a year, with two weeks off and then re-run the season again, before going on to the next season, or have one week between the originals and the re-runs. That way you could have a week between the re-runs and the “New Season.” I am sure that Harry Potter is a name that will still be spoken and his life read a hundred years from now. His life reflects some aspect of every individual who reads these books and thus the reason for the popularity…we each have a little Harry, Hermonie, Ron, and Draco in us. Yes, Mrs Rowling, this would allow all of us to continue watching a program which would be totally entertaining as well as educational as we study along with the students at Hogwarts. This would also give you a chance to allow ALL OF US who love Quidditch to get to see a complete match from time to time. It would be fantastic. So, please don’t stop with the movies, now that book 7 is complete. I purchased the Hard Back Book and the CD’s read so well by Jim Dale. Like you I literally cried like a baby in chapter 34. I guess I cried for over five minutes, non stop. I felt like I had experienced a loss of part of me, yet, you resurected me as the book continued toward the final battle with Voldemort. Yes, it was a welcome relief. Not only was Voldemort dead, struck so, by his own spell, but the curses he had over people were released and those people returned to normal. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Harry in the end, did not kill Voldemort, but the same spell which weakened him in the beginning, while linking him to Harry, once again bounced back and he was killed by his own hate. Please consider these requests. We Love you for what you have given OUR Family, but also, for what you have given the rest of Humanity as well. ” CONSIDER THIS PPL

Honestly, if you didn’t get why Draco was the master of the Elder Wand or how Neville got the sword you seriously must have not only forgotten the finer points of Potter lore but also you read way too fast.

Im so glad that she’s answering allt he questions that I was too stupid to get while reading. I got so confused by the sudden information overload. Neville was my favorite in the book hands down!

The epilogue is set 19 years later, Ron like Ginny could have had two jobs during that time. Ginny started out as a Quidditch player and then became a sports columnist when she started her family. So there is no contradiction with Ron working in the family business before becoming an Auror. In past books when anyone lost their wand they usually got it back soon after from the person who took it, therefore they became master again of their wand.

I agree with mamny of the other posters that I understood most of this stuff when I read the book, but I know my brother didn’t ‘get’ it all. I guess alot of these queries are arrising because we all read the book so quickly. I know I couldn’t put it down ‘till I’d finished and was pretty tired at the end! So I’m re-reading it. Making sure I didn’t miss ANYTHING! And it’s just as good second time around!

I was going back over the past books to try and figure out how old Voldermort was and in The Chamber of Secrets, it says ‘The Chamber’ was opened 50 years ago. Harry was born in 1980 in the story line, so in year two at 12 is 1992, the chamber opened in 1942. Voldermort was a prefect when he catches Hagrid with Aragog (5th year to 7th), which means Voldermort is 65-67 in year two. Something I read in Deathly Hollows bothers me though, in a memory in the penseive, Harry sees Voldermort welcomed his first year by Lucius Malfoy the head boy or prefect in Slytherin (again 15-17y/o), so that makes Lucius 70-72 in year two and by Deathly Hollows is 77-79!! years old!! he’s never shown to be that old in the story … Only mistake, but quite a large one messing up the back history.

Anyone know better on the age of lucius matter?
