At a formal press conference covered by the Ukrainian Independent Information Agency, the cover art for the Ukrainian edition of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” was released by publishers A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA. HPClub.com.ua let us know they now have this very dramatic (and very spoiler filled) cover art, including the back cover art, available for fans. You can see this stunning artwork here in our galleries, along with the previous Ukraine Harry Potter books cover art. The Ukrainian edition of the final Harry Potter novel is set for release at the end of this month.
Holly Epic. So Action packed its overwhelming in a great way. I want this as a Book Pster! Its not appropriate as a book cover I have to say. Come to think of it why are Book posters so rare – I’ve not really seen any apart from Tolkien fantasy posters. Surely Harry Potter books deserve their own Posters (not Movies). This Ukranian would make a brilliant one. The front Cover is baddass with Ron holding the sword and the 3 of them cornered into a fight back pose an the Back cover is awesome contrasting the sadness of the “seven Potter” aftermath and hagrid’s brilliant “Die Hard” action sequence. Phew, yeah I ahve to say Ukranian book covers ROCK!

This is really awesome, I love the details they’ve put into it.
I can’t understand why they’d actually use the actors faces, but shrugs and why is Hermione’s hair red??
Secondly – WOOT They remembered to make Harry’s hair long!!!!
Was checking the other Ukranian covers and bloody hell (as ron would say), they dont half give just the plot away but the bloody ending too! Look at half blood prince back cover for example, Everyone weeping and watching the Pheonix fly away is pretty much saying “oy, guess what, Dumbledoor dies at the end”.

It has a lot of detail…but it looks like a comic book! And Hermione’s shorts or skirt are barely there! She’s all about equal rights for all, and yet she’s being displayed as some sort of sex kitten? That got me annoyed…
But yeah. I don’t like it. It’s interesting to look at, because of all the stuff, but I’m SOOO glad I got Mary Grand Pre’s cover…
I love the cover, especially the spine art. Thank you for that link from page 2. Do you think they will make a poster of the spine art from all the books? It is really beautiful.
I love the illustration, and don’t forget that the artist is catering for the Ukranian people who may well have very different artistic tastes. I have enjoyed seeking out things I had missed, so now I have things to mention. I found the sword in the frozen pond but can you see Snape keeping a lookout behind the tree? The girl in the Shell Cottage scene is Luna, she was kidnapped from the train at Christmas and is still in uniform. The opened locket with the pair of eyes is half-way down Harry’s chest; Dumbledore/Aberforth is in a mirror on a stand bottom left of the front page, and there is a hippogriff near top left of the front page.
I don’t like the depiction of the DH symbol on the spine, the stone from the river would have been a pebble if it was subsequently mounted in a ring, and there is no clarity in the three shapes. What really foxes me is the green leaf which I cannot identify, the closest is the oriental plane tree. Huh?
I wish this cover(complete cover ) would have been on the US books.:(
[I think Mary GrandPre’s covers are nice but this is SO much better]
This is a fantastic cover, the best of the series.
It just grabs you!!in so many ways.
I really really like it but….Is there anything they DIDN’T include in the cover??? It’s great though!!!!! For me it’s a way to look back and see everything that happened in the book. I just think it would be better if the cover was a bit less yellow. I love Snape behind the tree!!! :P
I have to say i like the ukrainin covers the best out of all of them. I have never like the Grandpre drawings- too cartoony. That dislike was aggravated when she said she was drawing herself.
absolutly amazing and beautiful, and very eastern european cultural feel to the art. i love it. i wish they would do something like that with the lithuanian one instead of copying the american version all the time.
"Why can't Dumbledore teach Harry?" asked Sirius aggressively. "Why you?"[br]"I suppose because it is a headmaster's privilege to delegate less enjoyable tasks," said Snape silkily. "I assure you I did not beg for the job."
WOW!!!! i’m just speachless!!!! the detail is just amazing!!!!!!! the best cover i’ve seen so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) well done!!!
