Last month, we first told you that actors Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson were nominated for a new national movie award in the UK. Along with these acting nominations Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was nominated as “Best Family Film.” While the online voting for the National Movie Awards has now closed, the makers of the awards, Indigo Television, let us know that the Trio of Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) will be attending the award ceremony Friday, September 28th at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England. A few tickets for this event do remain, and if you are interested in attending, please phone the box office at 08716632538. BONUS: If you call, be sure to say you are from a Harry Potter fan site ie The LEAKY CAULDRON, and there is a discount on the ticket price, so be sure to take advantage of this and cheer on our favorite Harry Potter actors. The National Movie Awards will be broadcast the next day, September 29 on UK channel ITV1.

Leaky staff should confirm this information with the trio’s representatives. Indigo Television went round the Daniel Radcliffe websites a couple of weeks back notifying the web masters that Dan was scheduled to attend. This turned out to be false information.

It has been confirmed that they will be attending officially.

Dan won’t be there, the National contacted Dan’s site too a few weeks back with the same news but Dan since then has debunk this news, he’s not going to be there because of filming schedule.

“This is abig deal for them right?”

I hope they don’t go. ITV tried to launch their own movie awards a few years ago and it flopped (none of the stars turned up). The fact that they are offering discount tickets through Harry Potter fan sites does not bode well for this new version. The trio are going to look pretty silly if they are the only ones to turn up (and it still hasen’t been confirmed that they are)

CANNOT GET EXCITED about this ceremony or these “awards”!

Just another popularity contest inflicted on us by the media.

ITV1 Is one of the 3 major channels in britain, BBC ITV and Channel 4. If your from america its kind of like abc or nbc.

Im going to watch but not go as id much rather watch it with a glass of wine on the sofa. ive got my sat evening sorted, x factor, sat night take away then the awards. class.

The problem is that Indigo Television may be trying to trick Harry Potter fans into buying tickets with the false promise of seeing their favorite actors. As far as I know, none of the trio have confirmed that they are going.
