Happy Birthday Warrick. He was great when he was in Celebrity Scissorhands for Children in Need.

hey it’s my birthday too, that’s awesome. I got to see Davis at a Star Wars convention, very funny, kind, and talented person. best wishes to him.

I wonder if he will ever be the old Flitwick that we saw in the first two films and not the random music professor that has been in the films since PoA.

But anywho, Happy Birthday, dude!

Avatar Image says:

Wow, I didn’t know the guy who played the Ewok was the same guy who played Flitwick! That’s like my two favorite fandoms!

Happy birthday dude!

Happy birthday to one of the greater actors of the screen.

btw I do hope his Flitwick image stays of the “random music professor” type. it shows more Warwick the the “gnome” type, where he is hidden beneath make-up. That’s bit of the problem when one is an actor of Warwick’s class, directors always want to camuflage him.

Happy birthday, Mr Davis :)

Didn’t he play “Willow” in the movie of the same name?

It’s a shame they disguised Warwick as a goblin, in Philosophers Stone, particularly as this was not how JKR portrayed him in the books. Warwick’s a good actor and should be allowed to appear with his own face. It’s not too late for the last films, to correct the error of the first one.

Happy Birthday Willlow!

Happy birthday professor!!!!!! he’s a hero in DH…..juhuuuuuuu

Avatar Image says:

Oh, happy birthday, Warwick. You were great on “Extras”, too. Cheers! :D

Avatar Image says:

Ian, they DID correct it. The music teacher who has appeared in every film from PoA on—that is Professor Flitwick. And no, Jimi, he won’t appear as the gnome again. It seems pretty clear that the film franchise changed the look of Flitwick in response to Jo mentioning (on her web site, and probably directly to them) that she was surprised when she saw the gnome version of Flitwick, because in her mind he simply looks like a little man.

Oh, almost forgot—happy birthday, dude!

Happy birthday Mr.Davis! I think it is really cool that he played in two films that have so much in common- well a little, Star Wars and Harry Potter! He was a cute little Ewok in one and Prof Flitwick in the other. I personally think that all the actors through all six movies have been casted to perfection, they all do such a good job at portraying the characters that it seems like they jump out of the book. And once they are cast that is who I picture while reading. I know many dont like Michael Gambon as Dumbledore but I do just because we have to consider that Richard Harris already set the expectations so high, so to replace him must have been hard. I give them both credit. wow sorry for the long post for just a B-day message.

@ what do you mean that is not how Jo described him. He was both Professor Flitwick and the Head goblin – forgot his name dont think its Griphook that was played by Verne Troyer. But I thought that he did a good job with both parts.

Happy Birthday Warwick Davies :-)

Wow, I didn’t know he was so young! ^^ I still don’t get why he’s a music-guy in the films, though =/

At any rate, happy birthday! =D

‘Wingardium Leviosa’! Hope your birthday “flies high”! Mr Davies! You’re a great guy! :D

Avatar Image says:

Happy birthday I guess…I don’t remember your birthday being reported the last two years…oh well. Actually, I always pictured Flitwick somewhere between each incarnation…a really small old man. Happy birthday!

Avatar Image says:

Happy birthday to a little guy with a big talent! We love you Warwick and wish you a wonderful year!

Happy Birthday R2-d2. Or is it Prof. Flitwick? I never really thought about it. jk- I know a man with a wooden leg named Smee. Well whats the name of his other leg. Hope you have a magical and mischefy day.

Avatar Image says:

Your one of my favorite actors. You made Wicket seem like a little child with an unfamiliar relative. You should come to Conglomeration.

Avatar Image says:

@ Sam you watch Mary Poppins much? and was going to ask you if you knew that R2-D2 was actually a true robot not an actor, but you corrected yourself- the force must have been with you a moment to late! Ha Ha!

VOLDY: Harry I AM YOUR FATHER! HARRY: that is just f*cked up, man

( sorry couldnt help myself)- that would be extremely topsy turvy!

BellaSnape, the goblin played by Warwick did not had a name, neither in the book or in the movie, he is just mentioned as Goblin Bank Teller.

I think Warner at first interpretetated the character of Flitwick as being another goblin, which goes complete against the canon. Since DH it’s clear that the goblins resent the laws against using wands set by the Ministry, so it’s very unlikely a goblin would teach Charms to wizards and witches.

btw. having a goblin as a teacher would be the bad side of mix from Snape’s and Hagrid’s teaching skills.

Avatar Image says:

but he looks different when he plays the Goblin Bank Teller and Prof Flitwick so I dont see the point. As long as he is not recognizable between playing the two- which he wasnt I didnt know that was him as the Goblin for a long time till I started reading the end credits for the hell of it. Actually it was to see what chacracters all got left in, I know we can see them but some are not mentioned in the movie or get screne time. So sorry but dont get the point. ?

Avatar Image says:

sorry I morphed the words screen and scene together in my last post. LOL

Avatar Image says:

I really liked him in Willow, and that being his first big movie and him only 18 then too! It was very convincing acting, especially the parts where he was quarreling with Madmartigan. So a very happy birthday to you, Mr Davis!

Avatar Image says:

Happy Birthday Warwick ! I have loved all of the movies you’ve been in. You Rock Dude!

Avatar Image says:

Yay! I LOVE Proffesor Flitwick. I haven’t seen 4 or 5, but when I see them I hope he’s a good actor.

Avatar Image says:

how can you not see 4 and 5 and be on this website????!

Avatar Image says:

happy b-day love!!

Avatar Image says:

Now, wait a minute, BellaSnape, I thought that Kenny Baker, a very talented and adorable little person, played R2-D2 in all 6 Star Wars films. he’s credited on imdb and in other locations on the net, and I believe Terry Gilliam mentioned it as well. (To see Kenny sans tin can, see Time Bandits!)

I like Prof. Flitwick, but I do wish W. Davis would insist on better hair.

Happy, happy belated birthday!
