Avatar Image says:

Avatar Image says:

yes! third! haha! NOV 20 in the philippines! we are one of the country who has the earlier release date!!!!! i love it!!

Avatar Image says:

How come New Zealand has to wait until the 11th of December? Oh well, lucky Belgium and Egypt.

Avatar Image says:

poor Turkey

Avatar Image says:

Oh man! Egypt is sooooooooo lucky!

Avatar Image says:

Wowwwwwwwwww

Avatar Image says:

Yay. :) Now I can make an “11.21.08” HBP shirt for sure now. WOOT! :]

Avatar Image says:

yosh! november 20 for phils. lol, wouldn’t that make us 2 days earlier?

Avatar Image says:

This is so unfair! 11th December for Australia! cries

Avatar Image says:

dont get this. why cant it all be done @ the same time? is it time differences of do we just want to make me mad? sorry for bad english. poor me

Avatar Image says:

Of course I would decide to leave the US and go to New Zealand for a year RIGHT BEFORE the release. Now I will have to wait two more weeks! SAD!

Avatar Image says:

Hmmm…. Australia 3 weeks later than UK / US and most other countries! What????

How come for OoTP we had pretty much the same release date as everyone else and now we have to wait till Dec 11 this time around? sigh I'm not happy at the moment.
I would think by now they could do a worldwide release with these movies - it's ridiculous!! :(
Avatar Image says:

11:21:08 for me but I am trying to go see the premier if I can get the $$ but either way I can’t hardly way!!!!!!!!!

Avatar Image says:

Australia 3 weeks later than UK / US and most other countries… what??? Why for OoTP we had pretty much the same release date and now we are back to Dec 11? You would think by now they could do worldwide releases for these movies. I’m not happy… this is ridiculous :(

Avatar Image says:

Wtf 11 Dec for Australia? noooooo

Avatar Image says:

Dec 11 for NZ aswell!!! oh man

Avatar Image says:

Why Egypt and Belium?

Weird.

Avatar Image says:

YAY!!!! On November 20th for Mexico!!! I’m so happy!! Last year OotP opened the 12th, a day later than USA, now it’s backwards, but I think it’s because it went very good last year in a Thursday release, and also this year the 20th, 21st, and rest of weekend are Holidays, it’s an important festivity in our country and I think this helps the midnight releases!!! Can’t wait!!!

Avatar Image says:

Seriously,

This sucks so much. How is it that Australia (and NZ) get HBP on December 11th, whereas Lebanon gets it on Nov 27th and Israel gets it on the 20th.

Last time I checked neither countries were the safest places to be.

Explain the logic WB

Avatar Image says:

A petition has already been started an needs more support:

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/hbp_australia/index.html

Avatar Image says:

Australia and others who see how completely ridiculous and unfair this is – send complaints to:

AUCustServ@warnerbros.com

And help get HBP released at the same time as the USA and UK in Australia and New Zealand.

Avatar Image says:

i cant believe that the sme harry potter fever is goin 2 strt agan !!! this is so totally coooooooool!!!!!!!! i cant wait 2 wach dis movie !!!!! i hope its better than the 5 one cuz i was disappointed with dat!!!! anyways i just watched jane tu ya jane na and imraan khan is d bst!!!!!!!! :)

Avatar Image says:

That address is for video releases. I’ve complained before and they said to complain to roadshow films, the film distributors:

roadshow_films@roadshow.com.au

Avatar Image says:

i might just to make the 30 mins drive south the border to Mexico just to see it a day early on the 20th.. lol..

i’m soo excited.. can’t wait…

Avatar Image says:

Okay, I just figured out why “HBP” is so delayed in AUS.

It’s because “Quantum of Solace” is being released on the 27th of November in AUS. Releasing two blockbusters so close together is bad for box office results.

And “Quantum of Solace” is being released this far behind the UK and USA in AUS because Baz Luhrmann’s “Australia” is being released on November 13th.

Neither WB or SONY want to put their box office results at risk by opening just a week before another blockbuster.

But to me this is all negligible because they risk loosing box office sales due to piracy instead.

Avatar Image says:

Still, we’ll watch it online…

It’s better to release it on time. Everyone’ll go to both of those.

And why does ‘Australia’ change things?

Avatar Image says:

So, these are the “official” dates…. but in the US we’re still likely to get a Wednesday midnight release, right? Even though it’s not summer? So that would be Nov. 19!! I am keeping my fingers crossed for that. :)

Avatar Image says:

Approx UK/USA release dates

“Quantum of Solace” NOV 5 “Australia” NOV 14 “Half Blood Prince” NOV 21

Australia has a much smaller cinema going population than the UK and USA, so they’re a bit more strategic with their release dates down under.

Baz Lurhmann’s “Australia” has to be released first globally here, so it ain’t moving from NOV 13.

Sony decided to move “QOS” out of the way so that “Australia” doesn’t take its box office sales when is released a week later. So they moved it to NOV 27 instead.

And Warner doesn’t want “QOS” to steal box office sales from “HBP” so it moved it to DEC 11.

Like is said above though, it is all negligible because they risk loosing box office sales due to piracy instead.

Avatar Image says:

November 20 in the Philippines!? Can’t Wait…. Goooooooooooooodnesssss….... Nyahahahahahahahahahaha…...

Avatar Image says:

I’m sorry but is there a friggin reason why Australia/NZ gets HPB later than most countries?

We are after all english speaking countries. Is it perhaps that WB can’t pay for the films to navigate through hell to down under? Are we just sooooooooo far away that the Hubble telescope can’t even take a picture of us.

Please explain WB?

Avatar Image says:

WHY!!!!

we are like 2 weeks later! Australia is usually on par with the world on release dates… this is so unfair! I’d boycott this movie if i didn’t want to see it so badly!

Avatar Image says:

It’s actually 3 weeks, not 2

grumble

Avatar Image says:

Poor Australians… and they don’t even have to dub it like in other countries! It’s so unfair!

Avatar Image says:

If you think it’s unfair, help us with the petition!

Avatar Image says:

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/hbp_australia/index.html

Avatar Image says:

I’m sorry, but what does a country’s “safety” or supposed lack thereof have to do with when the movie is released? I’m from Australia, and am very upset that we are getting the movie three weeks late, but to say that Israel and Lebanon are unsafe countries and thus shouldn’t get the movie before Australia is irrelevant. But I don’t want to get into politics, because that’s not what this board is about….

What I will say is that WB are just silly. The same thing happened with Order, they were going to release it in Australia a couple of months after the rest of the world. A petition was started up and they changed the date, with Australia ultimately getting it before the United States. What I don’t understand is why repeat the sins of the past? They got bad press then, why repeat the process now? They should have learnt from their mistakes and released it the same time as everywhere else. This is Harry Potter, a series which has already five films under its belt, people are going to see the film, regardless of when it is released!

Likewise, they are simply proliferating film piracy. The general public will not wait that long to see this movie and may turn to illegal websites to download it. Let’s hope they change their minds!

Avatar Image says:

Why Bulgaria is not in the list?

Here the movie is planed to come on november 28-th

Avatar Image says:

i guess the higher they pay the earlier they release LOL maybe =)

Avatar Image says:

Yes !!! For once, I am SO glad to be Belgian !

Avatar Image says:

For my fellow Australians complaining about the late release, as well as those in New Zealand, and I suspect South Africa as well, they are doing it for exactly the same reason that we got GOF in December 2005 instead of November 2005 -school holidays.

If they release the film on in November, about a month before most teenagers are on holidays, they will miss out on all those weekdays where teenagers go to the movies multiple times early in a film’s release.

If they wait until December 11th, private schools are on holidays and they don’t have to wait long for the other schools so they will pick up all that weekday business.

People can carry on about piracy all they like but clearly it didn’t affect them with GOF or they wouldn’t be doing this again. Plus there are many people who don’t want to see a pirated version before seeing it on the big screen. It’s just not the same experience.

OOTP was different. It was the difference between picking up a couple of weeks of school holidays business in September rather than 4-5 weeks of weekday showings for GOF and HBP over summer. Clearly they decided it wasn’t worth the grief of delaying OOTP it that long and we got it when everyone else did. The very fact that they are still delayin HBP this time, despite what they did last time, makes it clear they believe it IS worth the extra box office to delay it.

I want to see this film as early as the next person, but if you think a petition is going to make a difference you are sadly mistaken. If WB thought they would make just as much money by releasing it in November, they would do just that.

Avatar Image says:

By holidays START on Nov 21!!!!!!

I can’t wait three weeks DURING HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avatar Image says:

Sorry if I offended anyone with saying that Lebanon and Israel were unsafe and shouldn’t get it before us etc. I was just so annoyed I had to say something, anyways, let’s not bring politics into this.

I agree with gilyweed. Yes, it has most likely got to do with the school holidays down here. I know my school gets off on the 4th or 5th (private school). But the public schools don’t get off ‘till the 19th. So from that point i do see why they’re holding it back.

But are all the countries that get HBP in November on school holidays during that timeframe?

Urgh, I guess WB wins then. Releasing it a week before the holidays does make sense. I surrender.

It’s going to be a very painful 3 weeks though. =(

Avatar Image says:

I have to disagree…. Piracy is on the rise and has, without a doubt, been perfected and increased in the three years since the release of Goblet. What the WB should be worried about, is not the hardcore fans being upset, the ones who would see it regardless of when the film is released, but rather, should be worried about the casual fans, or the people who go to a movie for the sake of going out. These are the ones who just want to pass the time watching a movie, not caring if it’s on the big screen or in their home on bad quality, but which ever comes first. And even if people download it and watch it, and then go to the movies to see it on the big screen to get that experience, they are still cutting down on repeat viewings.

I also clearly think that a petition would work, why else would they change Order otherwise? They didn’t want people to download it, or to be upset with them, so they changed it. The same can happen with this film and petition. And really, if many other major blockbuster can come out at the same time or within a few days of the American release and still do massive business, then why can’t Harry Potter do the same? Take The Dark Knight. That was released July 16 here in Australia. Holidays mostly lasted until a week or a few days until its release. Audiences were off holidays and it’s still a huge hit. The same can happen with Harry Potter. People are still going to see it, but if it’s released earlier the WB are cutting down on piracy and not creating an image of the “big bad film studio”.

I strongly believe a petition can work. It worked with Order and it can work with Half-Blood Prince. And even if it doesn’t, what harm is there in signing it? It takes a minute out of your day. I’d rather try and fail then not try at all.

Avatar Image says:

Thanks Holly for your retraction, I appreciate it. And I think you are right when you say it’s going to be a painful three weeks!

Avatar Image says:

Poor Iraq and all the other countries that don’t get movies. They never have anything, especially Iraq. :(

Avatar Image says:

Well Thesis we are just going to have to agree to disagree on this, and do you have proof that it was the petition that changed WB’s mind as I don’t remember hearing that at the time. As far as I could work out it was just commonsense that you couldn’t hold a film like HP back for three months – there is a huge difference between three weeks and three months.

Avatar Image says:

OH YES!!!! Belgium is allways treated like an insignificant little Country.. so there to all of those that tought so… (19…. I can’t believe it…19 nov…. we’re first!!! With Turkey and Egypt of course….)

Avatar Image says:

Sorry for that outburst…. I actually hadn’t seen that some Countries weren’t getting it at all…that’s actually pretty sad…

Avatar Image says:

So the earliest release date is in…....Belgium.

Thats a bit undramatic isn’t it, Belgium.

Avatar Image says:

Croatia 27th :( I’ll have to wait one more week, that’s not fair :(

Avatar Image says:

This stinks, we get in on the 18 of DEC?! What? argh. We’re the last place to get it! Argh.

Avatar Image says:

Yay!!!!!!!! I’m so freakin’ happy that Belgium is one of the first countries where the film releases. I’m going to watch the film on the 19th of November!!!!! And for those who ask why Belgium and Egypt are the first countries; films in Belgium always debut on a wednesday and this is probably the same thing for Egypt. And people who live in America don’t have to complain, there’s a lot of other stuff that releases first in America, look at the gamesindustry!!!

Avatar Image says:

Could the release dates be staggered to allow some of the main stars to attend openings in the different countries?

Avatar Image says:

11th of December for New Zealand? Despicable, WB. Absolutely atrocious. If anyone knows how to get a statement from WB or Village Roadshow (who I believe are the distributors) about exactly why the New Zealand and Australian release is delayed that would be great. I want to know the real reason.

I’m sorry, but the whole argument about timing the release with the start of the summer holidays doesn’t fly with me. The devoted school-age fans will watch it on release weekend anyway, the casual school-age moviegoers will watch it when the holidays start, and everyone else will watch it in the intervening two weeks. What is the big deal?

Plus they do indeed run the very real risk that people will download shaky-cam versions of the film if the film is already released overseas but is not available for them to watch in a cinema immediately. Plenty of casual viewers will do this, I guarantee. Also, some devoted fans may choose to download a pirated version, watch that a few times, then go and see the film in cinemas once when it’s finally released, rather than seeing it multiple times in the cinema as they might normally do. Some fans might not even care about the quality difference and not go and see it in the cinema at all.

Honestly, what nonsense. These distributors must think they’re really clever but they’re actually just morons that read way too much into things. Just release the freaking film. Stop insulting us by putting the rest of the anglosphere ahead of us.

Avatar Image says:

OK, that’s all fine and good. I wanna know when we will see the release of the soundtrack!

Avatar Image says:

And Reader511, I wasn’t aware that any of the main stars had ever attended a Harry Potter film premiere in Australia or New Zealand. It’s concieveable that they might do that for Australia but I can’t imagine anyone doing it for New Zealand, I don’t think any of the main stars have been to New Zealand at all, nevermind for a premiere. Only HP actor I know of that ever did press here was Chris Rankin, because he’s an New Zealand citizen.

Avatar Image says:

Why on earth would any county see a British film before the UK? Anyone else think it unfair?

Avatar Image says:

19th!!! for the first time in my life i’m happy i live in belgium : )

Avatar Image says:

o dear.. Nov 27th here in Croatia…i will not visit leaky for 7 days from Nov 20 because i don’t wanna hear anything about it until I see it!

Avatar Image says:

I want an early date! : ( Oh well Nov 21 will have to do. At least I can read every-ones spoiler’s! : P

Avatar Image says:

You would think as it is a British Film it would be out first in the UK ? Or Well . . . gona have to wait till 21st :(

Avatar Image says:

I got my Postcard book from waterstone’s today, with good old Jo’s prequel in it, it was class!!

Avatar Image says:

Nov 27 th YaaaaaaaaaaaaaYYYYYY LEBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avatar Image says:

Note to WB: to discourage movie pirates, release the movie in Australia a lot sooner than almost a month later!!!

I guess it’s better than the original date for OotP which was 3 months after the entire world!!!

But I still hate WB… how on earth are we supposed to avoid being ‘spoiled’???

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Avatar Image says:

I was waiting this post to sulk publicly about the Australia release day. 11 December?! Whose bright idea was this! Grumble grumble.

Avatar Image says:

“I’m sorry, but the whole argument about timing the release with the start of the summer holidays doesn’t fly with me. The devoted school-age fans will watch it on release weekend anyway, the casual school-age moviegoers will watch it when the holidays start, and everyone else will watch it in the intervening two weeks. What is the big deal?”

But it’s not about the people who go once, it’s about the people who go multiple times, mainly teenagers during the holidays. If you release it in November, it will be four weeks into it’s run until they can take advantage of multiple weekday viewings, and you just don’t get people giving it that sort of boost at that point in a run these days. HP Films are extremely frontloaded. It’s a well know fact with those who monitor these things for a living, they are paid to maximise profit where they can.

Look, I realise that people just want to see the film, they aren’t interested in the commercial reasons these decisions are made but that is what it is. I want to see this film as early as I can as much as the next person, but I am old enough to realise that jumping up and down and complaining about something that is completely out of my control is a waste of my energy that could be better spent elsewhere.

Avatar Image says:

Boy, I am glaaadI moved to Argentina. 11.20.08!!!

Avatar Image says:

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS, i might get all the games after everyone, but at least i will be one of the first to see HBP. LONG LIVE EGYPT. :D

Avatar Image says:

whoo! I knew Israel will get the movie on nov 20! It’s fair because we always get the movies a week after because the releases in Israel is on thursday, so it’s or a week after or a day before. usually. But when I think about it, the ootp film was set to release on July 13th but at the end it has released on July 11th. Who knows, maybe it will happen again.

Avatar Image says:

Yay!!

but that is so mot fair! its a UK/US tradition to be the first to see it.

well congrats to the new first viewers!

Avatar Image says:

YAY! THE 20TH FOR RUSSIA! I hope it comes out in English. I will die if it’s in po-rooskie.

Avatar Image says:

The only reason i can forsee tehm delaying a movie for releaqse in Australia for the stars is if it was a full cast…and it can’t be becuase dan will be doing equus…I can see him taking a night or two off for HBP premiere in london maybe…but not the time for aus as well…(don’t start on the whole rupert/emma being important too…it’s jsut a whole cast would be needed and those two wouldn’t suffice delaying it so much)

So i don’t buy they’re delaying it for the stars…If i can find a god pirated version b4 release in aus i would take that…i know it’s not the same as the cinema but hell i don’t wanna wait that long!

The school holidays thing could work but that is a really really long time to wait just for a little bit of extra money when the most you’ll get is from the hardcore fans who will go a million times and they are the one’s you’ll disappoint…there are still weekends and the first weekend is initially the msot important anyway.

The best reason is probably the thing about WB not wanting too mnay movies at once…which is horrible and weak and i hate it!

Avatar Image says:

I don’t understand how Australia can be receiving the movie on Dec 11. It’s just not fair for you guys!

Avatar Image says:

YooHoo! We’re getting it 2 days earlier in Egypt! :D We got it 2 months late for OotP! :(

And for the one asking why 19 for Egypt, cause our day of the week for changing films, is Wednesday instead of Friday for you :)

Avatar Image says:

I live in the U.S, so i get to see it on the 21st like most people. But why does Austraila have to wait so much longer??? this doesn’t seem very fair….. why can’t they have a worldwide release?? = [

Avatar Image says:

Here in México we get the Movie the 20th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! I’m more and more excited each time, and time is moving fast for me, so I’ll be seeing it in no time!!!!!!!

Bloody AWESOME!

Avatar Image says:

this is so wierd!!!!!!! random countries like belgium get it before britain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and america!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avatar Image says:

Yes! we Belgians get it on the 19th! The reason why we get it 2 days earlier is becuz here the movies always premiere on wednesdays. So we either get it 2 days earlier or a week later. Luckily with HBP we get it sooner :D

Avatar Image says:

Why are Aus and New Zealand so much later!? sobs What have we done? We are loyal, why must we wait?

It’s not like there’s a language problem…

Avatar Image says:

11th December for Australia?? WHAT THE HELL!!! we got OotP the same as US and England last time! outrage!

Avatar Image says:

Grr… Poor turkey 19th December. And Korea and Hong Kong, 18th of December. Grr Hong Kong is only like 2 hours flight from Taiwan and they get in on the 22nd of November… Great… I probably can’t use the internet till then because there would be spoilers everywhere…. At least it’s the day after my birthday.

Avatar Image says:

Umm I really don’t think the relative release dates of HBP and other blockbusters will influence profits by that much. The target audiences for these films seems worlds apart.

I wonder what other excuses the distributors have for a 3 week delay. Harry Potter’s huge everywhere. I guess technology these days is just that primitive, traversing an ocean is a 3 week feat.

Avatar Image says:

welll in Venezuela is going to be on november 28… last year was the same day that in usa but welll at least i dont have to wait til december…lucky me!!!!!

Avatar Image says:

Ok, that’s not fair.

Avatar Image says:

Gillyweed, I by no means intend for this to be an aggressive response, I’m just interested to hear your opinion and perhaps see if you could explain some things for me-

Why is Australia being singled out to wait for school holidays? Every other major English speaking country (and for that matter, many non-English speaking countries that have to have the film dubbed) are getting it at the same/similar time why then should Australia have to wait for the holidays when many of these other countries are also not on holidays? Clearly, if it can do well in other countries during a non-holiday period, then it could be successful here as well and makes it irrelevant to delay it by three weeks. Pinpointing weekday viewings as the sole reason why The WB are holding the film over for three weeks seems like reaching at straws. Again, if every other major country aren’t relying on weekday viewings during a non-holiday period, why then should Australia? Commercially, if anything, they are doing themselves a favour as they will see a spike in profits when the holiday periods start. Likewise, the film will do big number, regardless of when its released, people will pay to see it. But, rather than annoy the fans and delay the film, they should just release it the same time as everywhere else. Australia has a huge Harry Potter following; I just see no need for us to be the one major country to wait for it…

I also don’t think signing a petition is a complete waste of energy; it takes a minute and can make all the difference.

Avatar Image says:

yes Belgium 19th Nov! WOOHOOO

Avatar Image says:

Jeez, and I always thought Australia was sortof in the loop, but a whole month later than US. Ouch!

Avatar Image says:

Argh, no, 5th December in South Africa.

Avatar Image says:

YES!! ENGLAND! ENGLAND!

Avatar Image says:

All Australian/New Zealand Harry Potter fans (and others who want to support your fellow HP lovers! :) Please take a moment to sign the petition regarding the release date. These movies should be on world-side release by now. Sure WB is a major company but we fans can have a big influence :)

I hope that as an Australian resident WB are not even going to consider such a ridiculous release date for deathly hallows!
Avatar Image says:

Oh Lord! i only get 2 watch it when is realesed in my country (nigeria) when its released in Souh Africa(5th dec.!), i cud cry right now.

Avatar Image says:

Some of you people whooping about your Novemebr release dates are heartless :(

Help the Australians and New Zealanders instead. Sign the petition!

Avatar Image says:

dec 11 for australia/NZ – thats so rediculous – the same thing happened with ootp – we were originally supposed to get it in september i think – but WB ended up changing it to the same time as the UK/US…. why do they keep wanting to release it so late?? maybe if enough ppl say something they’ll move it in line with the UK/US

Avatar Image says:

OotP was moved because of a 2200 signatured petition. The HBP petition at the moment has 1680

Avatar Image says:

Come on guys…. SIGN the PETITON…... even if you don’t leave in Asutralia, just do it to help us!!!!

Avatar Image says:

You know what guys? You’re very welcome to Come and watch the movie in Belgium on Nov 19. We’ re very likely to have lousy wheather, but you don’t need sunshine to watch a movie, do you?

Avatar Image says:

I’m just relieved I ain’t in Hong Kong. But keeping things in perspective, let’s spare a moment for troubled countries which won’t receive the movie at all (though I’m sure that’s the least of their problems). Jo’s message is so valiant. If more people heard it, the better chance we might have of the world growing into something just a little bit better.

Let’s just hope WB haven’t turned it into Star Wars…

Avatar Image says:

And I think I might take Andrea up on her invite and hop over to Belgium. Good old Belgium!! Best chocolate I ever had..

Avatar Image says:

School holidays is a rubbish reason. Nov 21 – Year 12s are finished weeks beforehand. Year 11s are also finished then. Most of the teens going during the daytime etc are year 11/12s ie. 16-18yos. Rated M? have to be 15 anyway!

It’s a rubbish reason the students it is aimed at/can go/have funds are all finished school by then!!!!!!!!!! They might be doing it cos of that reason. It’s a stupid reason.

Avatar Image says:

WTH??? How come Korea gets it a what, FULL MONTH later than other countries???! DECEMBER FREAKIN’ 18th. I AM MAD. (Though i do realize that the pirated copies will probably be selling by then, just like it did with GoF) Is this a punishment for getting the Mummy 3(which, btw, SUCKED) before any other country??! Warner Brothers, I HATE YOU!

end of rant Thanks for reading =]

Avatar Image says:

Wooot! I will get to see it on the 20th here in Germany! At least one good thing about being here! Hope I can see it in the English origianl version though!

Avatar Image says:

OH yeah! I’m so glad I live in Belgium! I really have to see it. Weird that the other countries are so late though. Belgium rocks! :D

Avatar Image says:

As a reminder again: PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION TO CHANGE THE RELEASE DATE IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/hbp_australia/index.html

Avatar Image says:

“At this point several countries are scheduled to see the film several days before the US/UK release set for November 21, 2008.”

The farthest back I see is the 19th, and that only happens a couple times. Probably, a lot of the ones on the 20th are to make up for time differences and the international date line and such.

Avatar Image says:

The reason why Belgium is the 19th nov is that in Belgium new movies always come out on a Wednesday. I’ve heard that other countries (e.g. US) always has new movies come out on a Friday. I must say that I like it this way :-)

Avatar Image says:

has anyone else had trouble getting their signature recorded- mine keeps coming up ‘it appears this computer has already recodred a signature’ – im the only one who uses this computer…..0_o

And why the heck do Belgium and Egypt get to see it that early??
