Y no comments? I think its a great idea! I like how it shows u the news on the bottom!

Avatar Image says:

there are no comments coz no one cares anymore

Avatar Image says:

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!1 300+ days. /obscenities enter here.

Avatar Image says:

Everyone that doesn’t care are idiots!

It’s postponed, not cancelled!

Avatar Image says:

Woot! New countdown!

Look guys, what happened, happened! I’m sad too but everyone needs to stop being mad and get over it! We can’t do anything about it. Not as a fandom, and nor can Leaky—we can’t change WB’s decisions! At least next summer is gonna rock! Also, there won’t be such a big gab between the HBP and DH (part 1 and 2)! It’ll all be about a year apart!

And, love the news at the bottom of the countdown! :)

Avatar Image says:

Totally agree Cyrs! :)

Avatar Image says:

The thing is, I think everyone IS over it. Now we just don’t care. WB yanked us one too many times.

Avatar Image says:

not cool

Avatar Image says:

We never sould have had to do this…

Exactly. most are over it. What you are seeing now is apathy for anything HBP.

Avatar Image says:

Where are the countdowns for Harry, A History, and Beedle the Bard, since I imagine that these are what HP fans are currently looking forward to after the film delay. If the countdown creators have any spare time they could also consider a countdown with HBP scribbled out and replaced by Twilight.

Avatar Image says:

that’s kind of depressing

Avatar Image says:

Agreed Crys!

Ahh, I’ll be coming back from my trip to Japan by then. What a wonderful thing to come home to! Looking forward to HBP! :D

Avatar Image says:

Sigh, this is so sad.

Avatar Image says:

Oh yeah I’m with roonwit, I want a Beedle the Bard countdown please! :D

Avatar Image says:

There are still fans that are still in love with HBP

Avatar Image says:

PS, roonwit, it is a disgrace that Twilight stole the date. They should be ashamed!!!!

Avatar Image says:

LOL Stole the date. They didn’t steal the date. They took advantage of a free spot, because they care for their fans more than WB cares for HP fans.

Avatar Image says:

I am really not happy to see this. It just brings it all home again. WB is a disgrace. I would much rather have a countdown clock for Harry: A History or Beedle. I could care about HBP now, apathy is right. WB is not going to yank my chain any longer, I am not even going to bother seeing it in the theaters. If I have to wait a year from now, I can certainly keep on waiting for the DVD. What difference does it make at this point? All the excitement and joy in this movie has died a painful death. I’ve got the books, I can play the movie in my head. Oh, and WB? I’ll be RENTING that DVD or getting it free from a friend. Once. Not buying all available formats of it like I have in the past. Just FYI for that all-important bottom line of yours.

Avatar Image says:

Yeah, lets simmer down now. And BIG BIG cheers to the Leaky staff for doing their best to calm us down and give us news and not to mention make us laugh with the Quibbler, new revamped countdown gadget, in this harrowing time!

Avatar Image says:

How can you make this definite??? It’s not over. We are still fighting here!!! Return it back like it was. And if they don’t move the movie back I think that there would be more than 310 days left(no matter how hard) we must teach Warner Bros a lesson. They can’t mess with harry Potter fans !!!

Avatar Image says:

Now could you just make us a ticker that will count down to the next Pottercast? I miss you guys.

Avatar Image says:

gutted about the date change, plenty more complaint emails going WB’s way from me, but love the new countdown. nice job!

Avatar Image says:

Thank you, Leaky! You’re great, y’know that? It so looks like “cooler heads are prevailing” [with a few exceptions] As Crys put it, “whats done is done”...we need to move on. What better way than to “restart the clock”! Me? I’m ready to start thinking about getting my copy of Beedle The Bard. And anticipate HBP. I have more time to plan my Harry Potter Party now~

Avatar Image says:

If anyone has AOL and has trouble seeing the new numbers, try reloading the page and the countdown should update, it took a couple of tries but it worked, even when I copied the code to myspace, I had to reload myspace to show the correct countdown.

Avatar Image says:

ahh, it’s so sad to see that countdown number jump up again… & it had just gotten under 100 days too!! :(

Avatar Image says:

For some reason my countdown says 95 days. If only!

I’m with roonwit, I’d love to see a countdown for Beadle the Bard. This really is a momentous event!

I’m as ticked as everyone else about the movie date change (especially as its basis is to worship the Money God), but we have Melissa’s book and BB to anticipate. After all, it’s literature that got us here.

And speaking of BB, how ironic is it that Jo designed her own movie prop?

Avatar Image says:

I simply don’t care anymore.

Nintendo only makes games for old ladies now, and this movie was basically going to be the highlight of my year as far as entertainment goes, now I have nothing to look forward to.

I never “cared” about a HP flick before, I just got excited and watched it once it was a week or two from coming out, I’ve been waiting for this since they announced the day before Film 5 even came out and that was a huge mistake as I no longer take WB seriously when it comes to their want to please fans.

Avatar Image says:

Great job, but would you make it available to post on a Desktop of my PC as well as on a Web page?

Avatar Image says:

Ugh! Its so depressing to see the countdown go from nearly 90 days up to 300….sigh

At least the move up of the Twilight date fills a tiny bit of the hole of disappointment in my little Harry heart….just a tiny bit though hahaha

You are SO wrong—this film is going to be brilliant and well-worth the wait. Perhaps because it was the middle of the night over here? :D

Avatar Image says:

i actually sent you guys a message before you changed it about the countdown. It’s still depressing to see how long we have to Half-Blood Prince, UGH!!!

Avatar Image says:

Have y’all changed the one atop the TLC main page, because I still have the old outdated one.

And mucho thanks to folks like Confederate Lady and Professor Potter and others who, like me, know that as disappointed as we may be, the film is going to rock, and we all need to just move on and enjoy the show.

Avatar Image says:

i don’t care how calm i am now. i’m still not seeing the bloody thing opeing week. now considering i see it 2-3 that week and drag non potter heads to it, that’s well over $60 gone for them. i’ll still see the movie, but my principles can atlease hold me off a bit…. wont be seeing Watchmen first week either now.

Avatar Image says:

What is the point in counting down? Just gets our hopes up, they’ve already been dashed once. My excitement over HBP died two days ago. Byesies.

Avatar Image says:

HMMMM!!! im geussing that a lot of you will become hypicrates by the time july roles around!!

Avatar Image says:

How depressing. But like Crys said, we have to get over it. And I agree, at least next summer will be awesome.

Avatar Image says:

Still boycotting all Warner Brothers movies, as well as any movie released on the date “vacated” by HBP.

Avatar Image says:

How depressing is this? The date change..

Avatar Image says:

Sorry Melissa, I guess we all sound like a bunch of wieners but I can’t get excited about this either….... HBP is my favorite book and Ginny and Snape are my favorite characters. While I think that WB does not always do justice to Jo’s characters, I enjoy the movies and was looking forward to this November. I can understand that things happen with productions and filming movies but for Alan Horn to come out and say it is about money is completely unacceptable, considering the phenomenal summer WB just had with The Dark Knight. I don’t agree that there is nothing WE (Dumbledore’s Army) can’t do. I plan to also sign the petitions circulation on the web and will be send MR WB himself and “Howler”(no threats of course) and even if in the end it accomplishes nothing , at least I’ll know I fought for my Half Blood Prince…..........

Avatar Image says:

Actually Christine, we don’t need get over the date change. We’ll all see the HBP film eventually, some of us just won’t see it in the cinema, with the possible exception of buying a ticket for a different, non-WB film and going into the cinema where HBP is being screened. Or seeing it at the end of it’s run in a discount cinema for 50c or a dollar. WB doesn’t seem to be too bothered about sticking to release dates, so I don’t think I’ll be bothered with it either. =)

Avatar Image says:

It’s best that HBP is being moved… my friend who used to work at WB said that highly anticipated movies are only pushed back THAT far when the initial screen tests are going very poorly.

AKA: They’re putting the film together, and things aren’t going well with test audiences. THAT’S probably the real reason why they’re not releasing it… they’re going to be re-writing, re-shooting and re-editing entire parts of the movie to make it better than it would have been if it was released in November.

Frankly, it sucks that they’re moving it back, but it’s so much better that they’re putting together a better movie. They’re not going to outright say “hey, the movie is sucking so we’re going to try to make it better” so that’s why they came up with their weird, lame “official” reasoning behind the push back.

I’d rather have a good movie than a hasty movie.

(This is all speculation, so it’s obviously not validated or true by any means, but I’m just taking the word of my friend who worked at WB in the past, because it makes me feel like they’re actually trying to make a good movie, even at the cost of pissing a lot of people off)

Avatar Image says:

chocolateisnotforbreakfast: I don’t think there is any sign that the filming isn’t going well, in contrast, I think WB think it so good that it should be their flagship film of the summer, where, with not much competition, it should do well enough to break records, which it was less likely to do against the Bond film and in November. If they weren’t confident of the film doing well, I think they would have left it where it was.

Avatar Image says:

“If the countdown creators have any spare time they could also consider a countdown with HBP scribbled out and replaced by Twilight.”

Roonwit, I think I love you ;) LOL!

Avatar Image says:

This is retared i like the website and all, but on bebo you cant put this on! this bites!

Avatar Image says:

This is kind of depressing… 0_o

Avatar Image says:

Nice work on the countdown. :) Sorry that it’s not being very well received. You understand, I’m sure.

Avatar Image says:

awww.. well this kinda sucks but i guess i should have expected it. i agree with lemonfaerie there should be a countdown for harry: a history of the tales of beedle the bard.

Avatar Image says:

If it’s not too hard, could you put this on igoogle? Because igoogle rocks, even if it IS a little slow. . .

Avatar Image says:

Ummm, just wondering how come the countdown hasn’t changed on the Main Leaky News page?

Avatar Image says:

Picketing the return of buying tickets to non-WB movies and sneaking into see Harry Potter.

Avatar Image says:

i ‘m with Niffy Niffler, can you please make one for igoogle? i’d appreciate it.
