Exquisite gowns, really. And Emma wears them well. There’s something ethereal about her in photographs that doesn’t come through on film the same way.

Avatar Image says:

I am so happeeee for her!!!!

Avatar Image says:

Wow! These are stunning. That Alexander McQueen gown is amazing.

Avatar Image says:

this shoot disappointed me.

Avatar Image says:

Well, I was right about Hogwarts inspiring the runway…the dresses are gorgeous and I like the way the designers are in the photo as some sort of Hogwartsian denizen. However some of the dresses look much better suited to Bellatrix or Narcissa—I guess fans of “Evil Hermione” will find much to admire here! :D

I think she is much more telegenic than photogenic—in stills they have to catch just the right shot, whereas on film she’s really lovely.

Avatar Image says:

Wow. Emma is going to make a big impact on the fashion industry soon. I would bet anything that she is going to persue a career in fashion or modeling any day now

Avatar Image says:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the last one is just… WOW. when did she get so grown up and so…statuesque?!

Avatar Image says:

wow. that red cape is huge! she really is beautiful.

Avatar Image says:

When you don’t have projects in acting….

Avatar Image says:

Emma is beautiful, and so are these gowns, but what silly photos! Again she is made to look like she is playing dress ups and again she has been photoshopped beyond nature, her waistline in the Marios Schwab image alone is ridiculous.

Avatar Image says:

Though I liked the second (Christopher Bailey) and last (Giles Deacon) shot, I have to agree with Dudley – I thought she looked like she was playing dress-up in a few of the shots, particularly the Philip Treacy one. I also completely agree with the photoshoppiness of the Marios Schwab picture. She’s very pretty, but why can’t they put her in something a bit more age appropriate? Something trendy or fashionable, but doesn’t make her look like a little girl. She looks a bit lost in the couture stuff. The Christopher Bailey one was good, stick with that.

Avatar Image says:

I really like this pictures, is more Emma than the one in vogue. I don`t in vogue she looks so old..

Avatar Image says:

Wow, wow! The gowns are fabulous. And Emma looks so grown up and sophisiticated in them poses. Pity that she’s not on the cover but I guess Kirsten Dunst sells more mags than Emma.

And hey, this IS work! This photoshoot is part of the promotional marketing that the trio have to go through everytime a new HP movie is released. This Harper shoot may seem random but it HBP was not delayed, this would just be one part of the rolercoaster of promotions for the new HP movie.

Avatar Image says:

That must have been fun, but…

Chokes

A $23,000 dress? That’s obscene.

Avatar Image says:

She’s amazing in these pictures! She’s so talented in both Acting and Modeling!

Avatar Image says:

I have to agree with SleepyMel-The Christopher Bailey dress was the best one for her..I thought the peacock on the head shot was not artsy, just goofy.

Avatar Image says:

she’s so pretty. but she looks nervous. i like the last one.

Avatar Image says:

She is so beautiful and even though some of those dresses are a little strange and creepy she pulls them off. Thumbs up.

Avatar Image says:

She’s looking stunning!!

Avatar Image says:

you people have to be retarded not to see that emma is improving so much. you just can’t get over how much you dislike her!!!

buzz off

Avatar Image says:

I love the magic behind each photo. Emma looks like a model but also like a Hogwarts witch. Fabulous!

Avatar Image says:

“you people have to be retarded not to see that emma is improving so much. you just can’t get over how much you dislike her!!!

buzz off”

Uhm. Just because we are some who thinks Emma isn´t a very good actress, doesn´t mean we´re “retarded”

I think Emma is beautiful, intelligent, smart…But I just can´t use the word “actress” in the same sentence as her name

Avatar Image says:

The red cape is glorious! I also love the blue cape and the golden dress! She is simply stunning!

Avatar Image says:

When Emma is 90, and her great grand kids find these photos in a wooden box in the attic, they will be like “wow, thats grandma?!?..damn, she was beautiful”...”I still am my dears. I use to be an actress too but there was some debate about that”

Avatar Image says:

here goes another ‘debate’

Avatar Image says:

Magic and Emma-totally goes together!wow

Avatar Image says:

Wow!

The Marios Schwab….

Lovely.

OMT

Avatar Image says:

One very beautiful lady, that’s for sure~ but I think Philip Treacher’s “almost a Peacock Headress” was a little over the top. It spoiled the whole gown, for me. But, again, Ms Watson is one beautiful lady, and can “over come” any Couture Faux Pas! [Especially one on the DESIGNER’S part!] Great shoot!

Avatar Image says:

I think Emma looks great in the pictures, and for the most part I love the dresses (and the red Chrisitian Louboutin red shoes in the last one), but every time I see a couture photo shoot with the words “price upon request” it makes me laugh – basically, “unless you’ve got your own vault at the bank filled with money, don’t even ask how much it costs!”

Of course, Emma is at the stage where she can afford to buy couture so it’s appropriate. I don’t think she’s wearing anything she wouldn’t buy herself, she loves this stuff.

If Emma chooses modeling over acting, good for her. If she chooses acting over modeling, good for her. If she ditches both of them for school, good for her. Whatever Emma wants to do, I support her, and Dan and Rupert as well.

Avatar Image says:

WOW. She’s always been pretty, but now she’s just flat-out beautiful. Actress, model, brilliant student…..what an amazing girl!

Avatar Image says:

She is real beautiful and everything, and the dresses are gorgeous, but she shouldn’t take up modeling in the future. Her posture just looks awkward in some shots… and not a good ‘model-y’ awkward.

Avatar Image says:

Don’t jump on me, that’s just my fashion industry-love speaking.

Avatar Image says:

This is better than the vogue shoot, with the ridiculous excess of make-up in that one. She looks so much better with less make-up on. But the designers look way out of place in these pictures, especially the last one, he just looks like some dude oogling her.

Avatar Image says:

I will say I liked the Italian Vogue photoshoot more, but I do like the peacock picture (because she’s facing front and she looks pretty there.) I also like the dress in the last shot (where I suppose the designer is ghost.)

Avatar Image says:

She really is going to be a big part in the fashion industry one day! She looks really lovely in all the shots. For the people who’re saying it’s “not age appropriate” should give it a scond thought. She’s 18! It’s completely fine! And aren’t they supposed to be a little ridiculous? It’s called Harper’s BAZAAR! Key word Bazaar. lol. Although, i agree with Dudley, in Marios Schwab she looks a bit too curvey.

Avatar Image says:

Wow. Gorgeous. Emma is really, really very good at this. It is hard, I imagine, to be photographed this way. The patience you need while being in the make-up process, the posing… But she seems to feel very comfortable doing this.

And these photos are not just fashion, they are like little pieces of art. I do like them better than the recent photoshoot (was it Vogue??) to be honest.

Avatar Image says:

She sure looks pretty but she’s not a model. You can see her awkwardness and you get the feeling she’s just playing around with her mom’s dresses. Her poses look forced and there’s isn’t any emotions in her eyes. Real models wear the clothes like they were born to wear them, they OWN the photo, they make you FEEL what they are feeling.

Fashion editorials at best are like a story, they are pieces of ART. It’s not just about the couture… it’s also everything around it.

And it’s not just being pretty and wearing beautiful dresses.

I don’t know. This just makes me appreciate the professionals even more.

Avatar Image says:

You look amazing Emma, Congratz you really earned this.

Avatar Image says:

Her poses are really weird in these but the dresses are nice

Avatar Image says:

I absolutely love all her fashion shoots.! She’s lovely and wears all the clothes so well. Someone mentioned Kirsten Dunst outselling her?Kirsten’s old news and now Emma is old enough now to wear couture, which she wasn’t old enough to do before. Same with Dan. Both are now considered “grown up” enough for the adult magazines and no longer restricted to teen magazines- hooray!

I think it’s stupid to imply that Emma is now only good for fashion modelling and not acting. ALL actresses and female singers get put into fashion magazines now and many go to fashion shows- doesn’t mean they’re changing careers. Same with her wanting to get her A levels and go on to university. Doesn’t mean she can’t continue to act. Oh and to …. whoever you are, as for her not acting at the moment, you don’t know if there was some hold up on that Napoleon movie which delayed it but also meant she couldn’t choose some other project because of her possible commitment. Rupert took years between other hp projects AND did not have commitments to school at the same time. If you can allow him that grace period and allow him to go golfing and car races , then you really shouldn’t talk about Emma finally taking some time for herself and seeing some fashion shows and travelling.

Avatar Image says:

the pic of her in that peacock dress makes me think she trying to impress lucius malfoy.lol. lucius is mine!!!

Avatar Image says:

the pic of her in that peacock dress makes me think shes trying to impress lucius malfoy.lol. lucius is mine!!!

Avatar Image says:

Wow. she has really made it. I applaud her. The fashion industry is tough. but, she did have a little help… most of us aren’t that lucky

Avatar Image says:

I really like the first pic and did anyone noticed that this dress is the same one that she was wearing on the National Movie Awards in London… I just noticed…

Avatar Image says:

Aleksandra-I didn’t realize that! That’s sooooooo cool! Did she get to keep the dress? Too bad it ripped!

Avatar Image says:

Loved the Giles, Burberry, and Matthew Williamson shots. Emma looks so pretty in the Matthew Williamson gown even though having her in mid air like that does look a tad silly. As for the Burberry feather dress, well I loved that dress before this, actually I love the entire fall/winter 08 collection. Christopher Bailey brought really life back to Burberry and made it more than just a boring plaid prison. Emma looks amazing in both the Giles and Marios Schwab gowns, but whether its photoshopping or not, something just looks off about the Marios Schwab shot. Still I absolutely can’t wait to pick up this issue of Harper’s. I think this might actually be one that I buy two copies of.

Avatar Image says:

I have always thought that Emma Watson is a girl so beautiful. And now it has grown much more beautiful as well as being very good actress.

Avatar Image says:

One word….WOW!

Avatar Image says:

She looks pretty but she looks quite vacant in the photos. She only has one expression …

Avatar Image says:

I hate to have to admit it, but Emma Watson is a star.

Avatar Image says:

she looks simply stunning, i personally prefer to see her as more of her natural self, rather than these kind of modeling pictures where she looks rather photoshopped, but all the same she looks gorgeous.

got a bright future in modeling ahead of her, i’d say.

just i wish these photoshoots were more.. normal :S

aha.

anyway, she looks beautiful as per usual.

Avatar Image says:

Im so glad she’s doing something new and exciting for herself. I guess we can all sit back and wait to see other impressive things from her! It’s a shame it’s not me though :( lol. I’m so proud of her!

Avatar Image says:

she is so beautiful she can wear anything and pull it off, these clothes are simply extravagant and so stylish!Emma wears them so well it’s a world away from plain looking hermione!nice hogwarts theme too..

Avatar Image says:

She’s soooo pretty in those photos and look at those curbs WOW. Those are no magic or transfiguration spels, surely, just plain beautiful curb

Avatar Image says:

“Price upon request” means “if you have to ask how much, you can’t afford it” The fourth dress Marios Schwab one is rather shocking. I love, love the fifth dress, Philip Treacy one (minus the headgear!).

Avatar Image says:

I think Emma looks absolutely gorgeous, without a doubt.

“Of course, Emma is at the stage where she can afford to buy couture so it’s appropriate. I don’t think she’s wearing anything she wouldn’t buy herself, she loves this stuff.”

I cannot really understand how anyone would spend $20,000 on a dress. Even if you had an endless amount of money, I feel like there are tons of gorgeous dresses for a lot less, and the money could go towards something else much more worthwhile. It makes me a bit sad, really, to think that people would blow that much on a dress when I have to take out loans just to go to school. They are beautiful, but I’ll stick to my discount clothing that allows me to feel beautiful and go to school.

Avatar Image says:

i love emma beacause she is very beautyfull and good i frome iran -ardebil-hafez street-azadegan diagon

Avatar Image says:

Think it’sa brilliant mix, fashion industry interpreting the HP-aesthetics in it’s own way. She looks great and so does the fashion and the sets, even if it’s sadly anorectic and superhuman as fashion does it all the time (and we buy). A bit annoying though they call her a “female wizard” and not a witch?

Avatar Image says:

I’m in love with the last gown. It’s so gorgeous!

Avatar Image says:

Oh my! She’s getting beautiful by the minute (L)

Avatar Image says: i wasn't sold on all of the outfits that she wore in this shoot, but i did like the Giles Deacon dress, and the Christopher Bailey dress was alright too. some of the pictures were weird and i didn't like some of them.Avatar Image says: i want to see u
