Avatar Image says:

wow fantastic video! i can´t help feeling completely nostalgic at this point now…i´m on the verge of tears! thanks a lot to all of you guys who have stuck with harry “until the very end”, to all who have made all this many years the most wonderful years in my life. thanks to leaky for its eternal struggle to give us all our daily dose of potter, without which i think i would become insane. but most importantly, thanks to jo, whose books are like cheering charms to me! and, guys, don´t forget tonight to raise your goblets and make a toast for harry, the boy who lived! HAPPEE 2008!!!

Avatar Image says:

that was amazing. The ending was…...breathtaking and worthy of hollywood

Avatar Image says:

Happy New Year! I hope it’s as good as the last! I want my book published this year!

Avatar Image says:

Beautiful!

Avatar Image says:

That. Was. Bloody. BRILLIANT! Well done JP.

And well done Leaky, for bringing us all the HP-related news and helping to keep a fandom alive!

And to the magnificent J.K. Rowling, for being so kind as to share Harry with us :)

Have A Very Harry New Year!

Avatar Image says:

REALLY excellent, JP! Think about doing more film, SOON.

Avatar Image says:

JP, I do believe you have a future in film production/editing/direction, WELL DONE

Avatar Image says:

JP WELL DONE> HAVE A HARRY NEW YEAR EVERYONE> Time to enjoy the rest of our HP marathon here in the USA.

Avatar Image says:

This was pretty cool! I was surprised to see MuggleNet and Leaky both did something tho… I think MN’s goes into a little more detail :)

Avatar Image says:

That was UNBELIEVABLE!!! Thanks JP, and thank you Jo…for everything!!!

Avatar Image says:

That was FLIPPIN AWESOME!!! Especially the end!!! Good job JP!!

Avatar Image says:

As always from Leaky a fantastically professional job. Well done JP!

Happy New Year to Melissa, John and Sue along with everyone else on the Leaky staff. You all rock my world every day of the year! Thanks for your dedication!

Avatar Image says:

MN’s was surprisingly incomprehensive. Ignoring the PotterCast interview from Jo altogether – churlish and altogehter unsurprising. And grossly self congratulatory on their podcast. I love this video. There’s no way you can sum up 10 years in a few lins of text, at leat this video went for the feeling, that’s more adequate than a skimpy timeline.

Avatar Image says:

Sniff… 10 years of crazed obessions, going, going, almost gone. sigh. This was the last huge HP year, the last year that had spectulation for a movie and book, the last major double climax. It’s been nice to live through it, to say “We were there in 2007”, the last great year of HP…. See you guys on the other side!!

Avatar Image says:

JP … nicely done!

What a wild ride, and so glad that Harry was able to say ”... Snape … bravest … ”. I look forward to the Scottish Book and whether or not Jo’s children beg her to write about Albus Severus Potter … (I always wondered if we wouldn’t hear more about the Weasleys trip to Egypt … hmmm Cleopatra … asp … Egypt … sounds like a mystery brewing to me).

Avatar Image says:

What a beautiful tribute to ten years of pure magic. Thanks, JP!

sniff I’m all verklempt.

Avatar Image says:

JP, you did great on the video. It summarized so well everything that we as fans have experienced throughout 2007, which we will never experience again in the same way. The music was perfect and the scenes you picked were too. If you haven’t already, or aren’t already in the profession, you should seriously consider film and/or television editing or even producing.

Happy New Year everyone!

Avatar Image says:

Wow. I am a Video editor, so take my word that this was a very good job and must have taken hours upon hours of work. The fast cutting final sequence alone would be quite a task. Good work Mr or Ms JP.

Avatar Image says:

wow!

Avatar Image says:

From the Cunningham/Cordova Burrow in Broken Arrow, OK. USA; a happy and most prosperous 2008 to all!

Avatar Image says:

The video was absolutely brilliantly done, JP! Aw gosh…10 years it’s been? And I got into these books at what age, 4? If of course I had known of the books these ten long, amazing years.

Words cannot describe what kind of journey this had been and the impact Harry Potter has made on my life. takes a deep, long breath. Yup, I’m completely satisfied.

Avatar Image says:

Congratulations to JP on creating an outstanding video and a heartfelt thank you for the joyful ride and thank you, of course, to all the folks at Leaky who give so much for us fans. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Avatar Image says:

OMG!! That was an amazing video. It was a timeline of the fantasy series we all know and love. I can’t believe it’s all over (well there are 2 movies and the Scottish book yet to come but, the main thing is all over).... I’m having difficulty putting down what I feel in words. The ending was fantastic, with the music and the movies going back in sequential order and then jumping to the 5th movie, OMG!! words can’t describe how great that movie made me feel! Thanks JP!!

Avatar Image says:

That was amazing! I am so glad I watched it. Wonderful video, Thanks JP.

Avatar Image says:

WOW…...THAT WAS EXCITING TO WATCH KUDOS TO JP FOR AN OUTSTANDING JOB. HE SHOULD GO INTO EDITING FULL TIME. THE LAST PART BLEW ME AWAY. THE EXCITEMENT WAS EXTREME IN THE BEGINNING BUT IT GOT BETTER AND BETTER AS IT ENDED. THAT WAS …ANOTHER …..WOW.

Avatar Image says:

Oh….MY….GOD. Dude! That was AMAZING! It definatly gave me chills..did it leave anyone else close to crying??? Jeeze! Congrats to JP. It really summed it all up very well. I agree with ‘Someone’. It’s been a wild ride, and it will be great to say ‘We were there’.

Avatar Image says:

Three worlds. That Was Hot.

Avatar Image says:

Thanks JP. Then ending also gave me chills. It made me relize that the past of HP has been fulled with greatness. :D

Avatar Image says:

what an amazing journey harry potter has been on my life as well as many millions of others…..heres to another wonderfullly amazing 10 years whether it be filled with book releases galore or not our fandom shall continue strong i can feel it and im proud to be able to say im part of something as splendid as “the Harry Potter Phenomen” (sorry i probably spelled phenomen wrong) a very happy 2008 to all readers

Avatar Image says:

hey HPhorsegirl, yeah it brought me really close to tears as well….. i cant say ive been a fan for ten years, im a 9th grader in highschool but i have been reading since 1st or 2nd grade, and the trip ive taken in my life thanks to these books is really somethign that i find irreplacable, i dont believe i can imagine my childhood being what it is without HP

Avatar Image says:

OMG that was fantastic!!!! Are you sure you aren’t bucking to be a film editor on a HP movie are you? LOL Congrats all round—wonderful!!

Avatar Image says:

What a special treat!!!!! Thank you JP for a wonderful compilation of the past 10 years I’d frgotten about that dinosaur thing!

Avatar Image says:

From all of us, at Dragon’s Landing (that’s what we call home) a very happy and prosperous New Year…........I know that Harry will be with us long after the “last movie”. After all, there’s still “The Scottish Book” to come! JKR is an icon and ‘Harry, Hermione and Ron’ are legend. JP, you did a magnificent job, and I have sent news, of your work, to everyone I know! TLC Rocks, JKR Rocks, Harry, Hermione and Ron Rock and Happy New Year, again!

Avatar Image says:

What kind of file is this? That viewer is too small to see anything. I tried to download it but the computer doesn’t know what kind of program plays it. I tried everything I could think of but it just doesn’t work.

Avatar Image says:

JP!!!! You’re BACK!! :) For those who don’t know, he used to edit bi-weekly videos that summarize the latest Harry Potter news at the Veritaserum site…. and I guess he’s working with Leaky now… ;) EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!! :D

Avatar Image says:

OMG! that was FANTASTIC! this is a video that would have even made Jo herself very proud!

GREAT JOB JP! (you have the same name as my cousin.. how unusual.. hahaa!)

Avatar Image says:

That was brilliant!! I could still feel the pump of blood inside me, the excitement, the thrill, the nerves, the special feeling of connection to the world of Harry as I experience everytime I relive the books!, the happiness it brings for the fact that I’ve spent years of my life probing the mysteries of Hogwarts!!

Thanks JP for this wonderful New Year’s treat! and more thanks to JK who inspires me a lot!

Avatar Image says:

Has anyone got a link for the youtube video? I have an ipod touch and would like to see it. Please email it to mchargeATgmailDOTcom

Thanks, Mark

Avatar Image says:

(: Great job JP. :)

Avatar Image says:

This is a wonderful retrospect of J.K. Rowling’s work! You would have to be a true fan to put this together! Well Done JP! I look forward to more additions to this video clip in the future. USA Fan, Angie

Avatar Image says:

Excellent video! I agree… the ending was soooooo cool!

Avatar Image says:

Very nice, yes, but I would have liked to see a segment about the phenomenal creativity the series unleashed in the form of fan fiction, editorials, wizard rock, etc. Also, the era of wildly creative online speculation about the contents of book 7 was, for me, the cornerstone of what makes the Harry Potter book series a phenomenon.

Avatar Image says:

that was such a great video i thought it was done by a professional for a TV show.

Avatar Image says:

Thank you JP. I watched this in my lunch hour at work and am now struggling not to cry. I don’t care if you think I am a saddo – I am going to miss Harry, Ron Hermione and many others in Harry’s world. I know they are not ‘real’, but they have lived in my imagination and heart for so long they may as well be. I realise that is a mere fraction of what Jo must feel, though. Hey, I think I need a Support Group! Sue Davidson (aged 41 but feeling emotionally aged 7 today) Worcester UK

Avatar Image says:

Hey JP,

straight to the heart! Only saw your video today, just now. Thank you ever so much for your meticulous, perfect, creativ, inspired work.

Avatar Image says:

JP that video was awsome! i feel really sad that its all coming to and end but really happy that i got to be a part of the rollercoster ride. the video gave me chills well done again!
