The British version was only 600 pages or so. Yes HBP is MUCH shorter, not only in page count but the the font size of OotP was so small, while HBP was the biggest font size/spacing yet.

I just pray that Lily is actually mentioned in the film. There’s absolutely no excuse for it now that they knew what happened in DH when writing the script. Kloves would have to be insane not to bring Lily up in the HBP movie. There needs to be SOME buildup to Snape/Lily. Slughorn has to mention her.
One thing I thought should have been in DH was a bigger role for Slughorn. After HBP I was sure he was going to have greater importance, that he would maybe be the one that helped Harry make the connection between Snape and Lily.
In an interview last summer, Emma said she wanted to study at Cambridge. For me, that all by itself deserves a WOW. From what I’ve read, she has some serious brains (Hermione would be very proud). She should do well whever she winds up.
I’m impressed that she is able to juggle the HP films with her school work. That must mean a lot of very long days. CONGRATULATIONS Emma and GOOD LUCK with your exams!
YAY! Slughorn party!!!! I want that little Luna/Harry/Trelawney/Snape/Slughorn interaction, its my fav part of that scene.:D
I’m surprised their keeping this scene in the movie, but i’m happy that they are! It was one of my fave sceans in the book!! I’m sure Broadment is going to portray Slughorn as well if not better than what Staunton did with Umbridge! November just can’t come soon enough.
Btw the british version was 766 pages and the 2nd smallest font (after DH). HBP was 608 pages and had the biggest font/spacing. So I think it’s going to be much easier for the Steven Kloves to adapt this movie….
Yay! I’m so happy that they kept that scene in there!!! I can’t wait to see it. I wonder if Emma has to kiss the guy playing MacLaggen in that scene. Hermione kisses him in the book but Harry doesn’t witness it. But whatever even if she doesn’t it will still be awesome.
I can’t believe she still has exams to take. That’s one busy girl. I don’t know if I would be able to remember the lines to a script everyday and also study for exams. That’s alot of memorization. i’m sure she’ll get all A’s again though, because she’s so freaking smart just like Hermione.

Yay! I saw this on ew.net earlier today and then again in IMDb. Then I thought, “I need to check Leaky to see if there’s other news!” Anyway, on IMDb more people tried to determine what the heck a profiterole is (the conclusion is that it’s basically a creme puff). I hope they keep the part where Luna makes Harry laugh super hard.

Besides we do have to remember the size difference in the books, I mean as much as we love OOTP it was 875 pages and it had a lot of sub plots, this book HBP is at least steadier with its story. I should note that the American copy was 875 and I think the British one was about 7 hundred and some?
