Hee I’m getting excited. My friend’s an extra in it!!!

She has an outfit fitting at Kings on Wednesday I think.

I might just go and live at the Cathedral for the next few weeks, my school’s only down the road. YAY!

Maybe they are filming both scenes? Assuming there is both scenes. I could see them presumably cutting out images of Ron in the hospital unfortunately, as long as they just alude to the fact hes there. .

I think the movie is going to be great! I for one have something called optimisim. Besides I think we are jumping to conclusion again they didnt mention anything about a certain scene being filmed, and in the actual article they mention Helena Bonham Carter with these actors so I think they were just naming some of the people that are returning to the sixth movie. And its been said before they dont mention the dark side of the plot for the sake of the people who only go to the movies, Daniel and others have already asured us that it is going to be very dark, even darker than OOTP. So chill and just wait and see people!

right, mollywobble… It is the strangest feel for this particular film…I mean I loved OotP and I wanted it to be a PERFECT film so I wanted perfection…It was a very good film, though…but it did not reach my expectations…

About HBP, I want it to be even better than OotP but due to the not so encouraging stuff we’ve learnt and the lack of interest I had while I was reading the book because it focused on small, unimportant plots and there was almost no action…that’s why I’m afraid it may be the worst…we’ll see

OH! In IMDB I read that HELENA BOHNAM CARTER is also in the scenes…so that means thatmy beloved Bellatrix Lestrange is going to be in the climax of the film…<3

give me a LINK where they say that this film is EVEN darker than Ootp…

And they say Helena is going to be involved in the shooting…she’s in the climax…and I love this….because I love Carter and Bellatrix…hihi

@ John , sadly dear nothing in this world is perfect. I cant tell you how to live your life but I do know that if you go around expecting everything to be perfect and to your own expectations then by all means and without a doubt you will be let down. ALL book to film adaptations are missing plot points I have never seen one that is perfectly like the book, remember that the Harry Potter books are extremely complex so that makes them even harder.

@Becca: Perhaps you can get your friend to discuss her experiences as an extra with us?

I thnk its great that every effort had been made to include local children (and adults?) in the films. Sure, its good marketing, but also i think the effort shows genuine concern about including as many as possible in the HP éxperiemnt”...sort of a collective national experience that people will talk about for decades.

Yup, if she won’t, then I will!

Although they have had to sign a form saying they wont disclose information so I will get as much as is possible.

YAY!

Maybe this is after Dumbledore dies and Harry is running after Snape and Draco. I can see having Dan run through the battle and Hagrid, McGonagall, and Mrs. Weasley are all fighting off the death eaters there. They probably modified the scene to have Bellatrix there maybe on the tower that way for the movie people, they sort of see a familiar face and can take out an unknown death eater that was there or something. I don’t care because I love Helena Bonham Carter so if Yates and the crew switched around something towards the end where she gets to be in it, I am fine with that. That’s the only part of the book I can see those 4 characters being in the castle at the same time unless they added in a new scene not in the book.

erica,I agree…

Bellasnape, you are right…I know that nothing is perfect…and I know that the book had many problems…the film with cutting even more and probably sticking to romance…then I don’t expect anything that great… Nobody is perfect…and nothing is perfect…OotP was a very good film…I was satisfied. But I don’t know about this one…I don’t want to see a perfect film…cuz there is no one…but I expect to see a satisfactory film…

i’m still waiting for the link of the interview where they said that this film is EVEN darker, though…LoL! Then I will definitely be more optimistic about it…!cuz I always hear about the romance…and Lavender…and Quidditch…

HBP is my favorite book in the series. I can imagine that it will be a difficult screenplay because it really is a series of self-contained (but related) short stories. I would expect WB to use movie known Death Eaters rather than casting new people for the Carrows and trying to introduce them. Everybody already knows who Lucius and Bellatrix are in the movies and nobody got sent to Azkaban at the end of the OotP movie.

Also, HBP is so chock full of Dumbledore. I really don’t expect much from this movie as I don’t feel that Michael Gambon effectively captures the spirit of Dumbledore. But, he is getting better. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly suprised…

It’s going to be a fantastic movie: action, romance, and comedy. Something for everybody!

@John: Don’t worry, I don’t think there’ll be nearly as much romance as you’re imagining. The reason everyone associated with the movie talks so much about the romance is because, well, frankly, there’s a very high level of interest in the romances. YOU may not be interested (which is certainly your right), but quite a lot of people ARE intensely interested (which is also their right). The actors and filmmakers know this, and so they tell us about filming kissing scenes, etc, to keep people excited about the movie. But just because they talk about it a lot doesn’t mean it’s going to be the central plot of the movie, or that any of the action-adventure scenes will be sacrificed.

In a way, this kind of reminds me of the media frenzy about Luna/Evanna while OotP was being filmed. There was SO MUCH talk about her that I was beginning to become a little worried – as much as I like Luna, I didn’t want OotP to become “The Luna Lovegood Show”, and would have been very disappointed if it had (cuz, yes, Luna is great, but you know, there are some other characters named Harry, Ron, and Hermione who are still rather important, and a couple others named Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley who also step into the spotlight a tad in OotP ::eyeroll::). But then I saw the movie, and lo and behold, Luna wasn’t even in it that much.

I think something similar will happen with the romance in HBP. We’ll hear lots and lots about it, because the WB knows there is a high level of interest, but it’s certainly not going to be the central part of the movie. It will play more of a part than in the other films, probably (which only makes sense, as book!HBP has more romance in it than any of the others), but it won’t take over the film.

Wow, I didn’t mean to talk so long about this. Sorry I was so gabby.
