Game On! New Harry Potter Clue, Hogwarts House Cup Games Available

With the holidays just around the corner, we have news today that two new Harry Potter board games are now available in our Cauldron Shop. First up, the new Harry Potter edition of the popular Clue game. The game is described by Hasbro, the makers of the board game as follows:

Dark magic has been performed at Hogwarts! A fellow student has vanished from the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry—and it is up to you to solve the mysterious disappearance. Play as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna or Neville and try to discover WHO did it, WHAT spell or item they used, and WHERE the student was attacked. Was it Draco Malfoy with a Sleeping Draught in the Owlery? Move around Hogwarts making suggestions- but watch out! Wheels on the board actually move to reveal secret passages, hidden staircases, and even the Dark Mark! Think you’ve gathered all the facts you need? Go to Dumbledore’s office to make your final accusation to win the game!

Also new and in stock is the Harry Potter Hogwarts House Cup Challenge Game from NECA. This new board game, which we saw previewed at Comic-Con over the summer, is described as “Test your knowledge and skill with this Harry Potter Hogwarts House Cup Challenge Game. This game allows 2 – 4 players to portray Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville in their quest to win the House Cup for Gryffindor. Players move their characters around the board encountering Adventure Cards and increasing their Knowledge, Skill and Honor. As the Characters’ abilities grow, they face harder challenges based on the first five Harry Potter films. For 2-4 players. Ages 9 and up.”

I bought the HP Clue game a couple weeks ago and it is so much fun!!! My friends and I had a great time playing it!

I have the old Mystery at Hogwarts game. It was pre-movies and is awesome. Though this new one sounds similar, I still want it!

I have both ‘Harry Potter Scene It’ games! I can’t wait to get a hold of the Clue game! Clue is our absolute favorite, at my house! These games look AWESOME! Makes me wonder when ‘Monopoly’ will get “on board” [no pun intended] and come out with a ‘Harry Potter Monopoly’...don’t quite know what they’d call it, but they have one for just about everything else! LOL

Yeah, I have the Mystery at Hogwarts game too, which I think is great because of the illustrations. The new ones are cool, but they don’t have the same feel.

Yeah, I love pre-movie HP merchandise. I can’t remember where most of it is but it has a certain non-commercial air to it… you know, despite being merchandise. hehe

OMG, that’s amazing. I LOVE Clue and, oddly enough, I love Harry Potter as well. I must have it!

For years I have wanted them to come out with a Harry Potter Monopoly! I have even seriously thought about adapting it myself and even made some plans in that direction …. Go To Azkaban…Go Directly To Azkaban… Do not not pass Platform 9 3/4 and Do Not collect 200 Galleons!

I even got some “witchy” playing pieces in the form of small Halloween colorful ornaments … A Hat, A Ghost, A Pumpkin, A Black Cat,... Board games are great fun anyway and now I know what I will be giving for Holiday presents!

To answer the question from KS, I bought mine at the store! I’m sure you will be able to find it wherever games are sold!

Yeah. I love Clue, this is great, blah, blah, blah. You know what? It’s a tough time to be a die-hard Harry Potter fan. We have no movie next month. We have no more books to look forward to. We have no interviews with JKR. By the way, WHY is that? Grrr.
