Game On! New Harry Potter Clue, Hogwarts House Cup Games Available

With the holidays just around the corner, we have news today that two new Harry Potter board games are now available in our Cauldron Shop. First up, the new Harry Potter edition of the popular Clue game. The game is described by Hasbro, the makers of the board game as follows:

Dark magic has been performed at Hogwarts! A fellow student has vanished from the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry—and it is up to you to solve the mysterious disappearance. Play as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna or Neville and try to discover WHO did it, WHAT spell or item they used, and WHERE the student was attacked. Was it Draco Malfoy with a Sleeping Draught in the Owlery? Move around Hogwarts making suggestions- but watch out! Wheels on the board actually move to reveal secret passages, hidden staircases, and even the Dark Mark! Think you’ve gathered all the facts you need? Go to Dumbledore’s office to make your final accusation to win the game!

Also new and in stock is the Harry Potter Hogwarts House Cup Challenge Game from NECA. This new board game, which we saw previewed at Comic-Con over the summer, is described as “Test your knowledge and skill with this Harry Potter Hogwarts House Cup Challenge Game. This game allows 2 – 4 players to portray Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville in their quest to win the House Cup for Gryffindor. Players move their characters around the board encountering Adventure Cards and increasing their Knowledge, Skill and Honor. As the Characters’ abilities grow, they face harder challenges based on the first five Harry Potter films. For 2-4 players. Ages 9 and up.”

The Clue game looks amazing, I want it.

Cool! The new “official” HP Clue sounds EXACTLY the same as the old “Mystery At Hogwarts” game that I still have floating around somewhere. Well, except for newer things like Luna, and the whole wheels bit sounds new, and last time you had to get past Fluffy, not get into Dumbledore’ office, which seems like a much more reasonable solution.

The Hogwarts Cup challenge looks interesting, and while I appreciate the ability to play as Neville, WHERE’S THE RAVENCLAW EDITION?

Sounds fun! Is the House Cup game based on book trivia? I’ll have to get the Clue; no one will play Scene It with me anymore.

First off, is this what Americans call Cluedo? Sounds about right. And can someone please answer about it being sold abroad, or if it’s only going to be sold internationally over the internet. I’ll get it either way though, it sounds fantastic!

Confederate Lady, I agree – where the heck is Harry Potter Monopoly? They’ve had ten years to develop what could be the best boardgame in history.

I just bought Harry Potter Clue game. It is awsome! I can’t find Hogwarts Cup Challange game. Someone please tell me where to find one! I need it. The games looks awsome.

I so need the Harry Potter Clue! So it is available in stores right? I got so frustrated with the fact that there is no Harry Potter Monopoly that I have actually made my own version, board and galleons and all.

They should have the four houses in the Hogwarts House Cup game.

One I was after was Clue, is it one puzzle you have to get over and over again or is there different ones, like Voldemort with Avada Kedarva in the Kitchen, Draco Malfoy with a Hammer of Doom in the Library, different ones.
