Warner Bros have now opened a new contest to win a trip to London and tour the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The Hogwarts Holiday contest, open to residents of the US to people 13 years and older, runs now until December 31, with the winner announced on January 7, 2009. The winner will receive a trip to London, England for five days and will include a visit to the set of Deathly Hallows "tentatively scheduled to take place sometime between Spring to Winter of 2009." Also new from WB is a widget to add to your own blog or space, that contains videos such as the new trailer for HBP, as well as one for the Harry Potter 20Q game and more. Also on the widget are links to a game that if answered correctly will get you a discount at the WB store. Finally, WB has a opened their wishlists for Harry Potter merchandise from the store.
If you did win the lottery you still couldn’t pay to visit the set. These competitions are silly anyway, you never hear anything from the winner and so it just goes to some little kid who will probably forget all about it after a while.
@ Jeff…yeah, but it would be so worth it. Does it say in the rules how many people you can bring with you? I may have to hold a lottery of my own to decide if its just one or two people if I won. All of my immediate family and friends are HP fans.
If I won, I promise I’d write up something and post in the forums somewhere. :D
I probably won’t win, though. I’m 26. And I never win things.
"Only one Entry per email address or household is allowed during the Sweepstakes Period. Any attempt by a participant to obtain more than the allowable entries by using multiple/different e-mail addresses, identities or any other methods will void all of that participant’s entries."
That’s from the official rules, so I wouldn’t recommend cheating.
Does that mean rich people who own more than one house or teens with divorced parents can enter more than once if they use a separate email address with their other physical address?
Hey, i just read the small print at the top of the page…it mentions 48 States instead of 50. Is that an error or are they saying that Hawaii and Alaska residents can’t enter? I’m from IL, so it doesn’t affect me, but still, that is stupid. I feel sorry for the people who got excited to be able to enter and then sees small print that tells them that their side of the country can’t participate.
"Oh, one of these days..." She took a deep shuddering breath.[br]"Yes, yes, one of these days you'll write more horrible stories about Harry and me," said Hermione indifferently. "Find someone who cares, why don't you?"
Oh. §3 sigh :(
