There are reports online tonight saying that actor Dave Legeno has been cast in the role of werewolf Fenrir Greyback for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We are uncertain if his part will be part CG, similar to Grawp in “Order of the Phoenix” or how this character will appear in the sixth Harry Potter film, and will update with more when we get it.
Update 2: According to the Snitchseeker, a few more minor background characters have been cast. Please regard all of these as rumor until confirmed by Warner Brothers.
fishscale: I couldn’t really think about anyone else at the time for Alecto and I would love for Kate to be in it. It will probably be an unknown as well.
Vicky: The Carrow siblings are first introduced to us in HBP up the tower before you know what happens. Then they are teachers at Hogwarts in DH.
About the “script”. The guy did say that he typed it himself and he could be Amercian. He is a stand in/extra and doesn’t have any lines. He might have lived in England for the last 10 years and still writes in American english. If that’s all you have even known then it would be hard to stop.
The Dude whose playing Carrow was in the Britsh version of the office. http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/characters/finchy_person_page.shtml and I have to say from this picture he does look a bit scary!!!
Just because theres no Fleur are we sure theres no Bill? The two weren’‘t joined at the hip (or lip – thank Jo) during HBP…
And as for the dude whose playing Grayback… He played Bear in Stormbreaker so could be ok… although I really wanted Charlie Boorman to play Grayback because he can be scary and he’s a big man.
And yes I agree that Huge Laure HAS to be in a Potter movie… as does Steven Fry… The list of good British actors is endless… However the amount of parts there is in the Potterverse isn’t.
Clive Owen as Fenrir Greyback? Um, WHY? I’m at a loss as to why his name keeps being mentioned in these comments, other than that he’s a good-looking guy who’s sort of hip right now, so people automatically think he should be cast in the movie. But honestly, how on earth is he suited to the role of Greyback? Owen is a handsome man, but a wooden actor, which is exactly the opposite of what we want in Greyback; he should look rough and haggard and cruel, and he should be played by an actor who possesses a little thing called EMOTIONAL RANGE. Clive Owen, popular pretty boy though he is, does not fit that description.
I like the actor playing Amycus. Finchy from The Office, yay!
Ewwwww @ the script fragment :((( As far as I understand from the comments, it is probably real, and it makes me sad… What’s the use of inventing pointless and random scenes and throwing out the scenes from the book? :((( We get no Gaunts, but we get Bella and Fenrir at the Burrow instead…
And one more point concerning the scene after the battle scene. C’mon, do Harry and Hermione call Malfoy DRACO?! Hm… In the book, Harry calls Draco my the first name only once, in Book 7, when he sees Voldemort making Draco torture somebody and feels real deep compassion towards Draco for the first time in his life. Before that scene, he only calls him “Malfoy”...
Hee hee
Harry called Draco, “Draco”.
And Draco is looking ill! yes! they’re making it all frustrating and conflicting (emotionally) for him! (if the script is real like some peeps are saying).
feeling positive.
Except whats with the extra action scene. Ew. It’s not in the book. It feels tainted. It should be cut straight away. Seriously Mr. Kloves/ Mr Yates, If you’re a good director/ screenwriter, you can make the existing material in book 6 work. Without sexing the script up so badly. (and so wrongly) ew. Just no. Bellatrix & co near the Burrow? I am suffering extreme non-cannon overload. (and I dont usually have a problem with that :(

Right you are:
not too much make…....
and neither too much clothes. please
although some Wolferine-like whiskers would do well.
greyback isn’t particulairy an exemple of High Magique refinement, so an actor who exeled in cage fighting could do well.
he really doesn’t look like Greyback I imagined. But with hair and make-up he’ll do. I just hope he has good acting skills and that he won’t disappoint us. We want BAD Greyback!!!!
Good casting, especially Amycus (the guy’s intimidatingly tall. I hadn’t pictured a Yorkshire accent but it fits). And glad that at least one Carrow is in. They went for actors who fit the roles. Big names aren’t necessary for bit parts.
As for the script extract, it sounds authentic to me. Kloves knows that you have to build up characters at least a little bit before dumping them in a finale. It’s also his micro-managed style (“New Angles” everywhere. That’s a director’s job, sunshine!)
I can’t even comprehend that scene… SO random, where could they possibly be going with that???
