There are reports online tonight saying that actor Dave Legeno has been cast in the role of werewolf Fenrir Greyback for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We are uncertain if his part will be part CG, similar to Grawp in “Order of the Phoenix” or how this character will appear in the sixth Harry Potter film, and will update with more when we get it.
Update 2: According to the Snitchseeker, a few more minor background characters have been cast. Please regard all of these as rumor until confirmed by Warner Brothers.
Yea that’s a pretty weird scene to throw in there but after the OotP movie, I’m figuring that the remaining 2 (or 3?) films will only have a passing resemblance to the books which is too bad because they stared off as pretty faithful adaptations to the books. Try to look at them outside of the context (fresh if you will) and they’re still pretty entertaining. It is weird though, like you’re suspending disbelief, but twice.
I’m more worried about Grayback having cgi. If it’s done minimally to enlarge a feature or two and sharpen his teeth (like Voldemort cgi), that would be fine. I just hope he isn’t overdone like Grawp. Those scenes looked like something out of Roger Rabbit. GoF probably had the most tasteful use of special effects and when they did have some fantastic beast (like that beautiful dragon), it looked incredibly realistic.
I’m more curious about the whole point of him being in the movie at all. Since Bill’s not going to be there, I figured they’d leave Grayback out too to make room for a Hogwarts pep rally scene or Luna spreading her conspiracy theory regarding George Bush’s resemblance to a Crumplehorned Snortsack. I’m also hearing from the same imdb source that with the omission of Bill and Fleur from the movies, the wedding in DH will be replaced with Lee Jordan’s Bar Mitzvah. I didn’t even know he was Jewish.

I forgot to mention the scene where Harry sends Krecher & Longbottom to spy on Malfoy.

On IMDb they think that the Bill and Fleur wedding will be replaced with a Tonks and Lupin wedding- I have not read anything about Lee Jordans bar mitzvah you probably got hold of someone who thinks this is a joke- to speculate about what will happen. come on there not going to replace a simple wedding with a underdeveloped characters bar mitzvah. But that is the general consensus that everyone thinks Lupin and Tonks will be the weddings bride and groom. P.S. I think there might still be hope for Dobby his death scene is quite moving and he was very close to Harry. We do have to remember that as fans we know nothing about what will be cut or moved around in the movie until we see it. Just because one character is not in one movie doesnt mean he wont make it into the next. Especially the last one.
BellaSnape-
Yea, I was really surprised too since I haven’t seen the Lee actor for a couple of movies but it’s really true. It’s not even going to take place at the Burrow (as I’m sure you heard the Burrow is being burned down in movie 6) but will be shot at Hagrid’s hut which on the other hand will NOT be burned down in movie 6 but rather it will be inverted and magically tossed by death eaters to a spot right in front of the owlry. Hagrid Himself will preside over the ceremony as he’s apparently a rabbi in the movies and on a side note, a very skilled Mohel.
I guess he’s also doing double duty at the end of movie 6 as pallbearer and clergy.

They all look great, I can´t wait for the movie in cinemas. I like new people on the scenes, it´s refreshing and exiting.
I have no idea Leif Longbottom but I think we all should keep open minds as far as the script goes apparently-? But so far I have not heard a confirmation that the wedding is officially out. You guys think they will have Dumbledores funeral- kinda dumb question but I was just thinking about how moving it will be and how weird it would be without it.
P.S. Leif:
Longbottom ( smiles evily) I didnt know little Neville had a brother.
I’m sure I’ll enjoy the rest of the movies as much as the ones we’ve seen but my mind is also open to the fact that they are becoming less and less like the books. I’m just more curious than anything to see how they’ll keep it together for the last one where Neville saves everyone from Malfoy manor and deposits them at Shell Cottage: ya’know, Lee Jordan’s place, where they plan their heist of Florean Florteseu’s Ice Cream shop.
Neville didn’t have a brother but he apparently had a love child with Luna. That’ll be covered in “Harry Potter and 19 Years Later.”

Forgive me for being wildly off-topic, but I just have to say this:
Leif Longbottom, your icon wins the internets. I nearly snorted my coffee onto my keyboard when I saw it.
Oh a love child, I get it- I read the 7th book really fast I have to re-read it to get all the little stuff I missed and truely take it in. I wanted to finish it as fast as I could , it took me 5 days.
Saria- Thanks. I’m pleased I could amuse you (and ruin your coffee at the same time hahahahaha) but it’s not supposed to be funny. Have you ever been Stupified by a clumsy security troll? It’s frikin painful.
BellaSnape- The love child isn’t covered in the book (just the screenplay for Harry Potter and the 19 Years Later which, I should’ve explained before, will be the second half of WBs Deathly Hallows movies, which they’re splitting in two, one half of which will actually be a 5 part miniseries for BBC; Sounds a little complicated but once I get my head around it I’m sure it’ll be very entertaining); Luna was able to convince her father that she got preggers by the spirit of Godric Griffindor and of course he can’t let that drop now.

@ Leif – No I know that much – I was thinking about the adventure to Florean Fortescues, that is the part I dont remember I have to read the book again like I said to get that all again. I know alot of our names come from our imagination- obviously, mine- when did Bella and Snape elope? that would be weird.
If you guys need more proof that our source is legit, hes an article where barron discusses the new scene they needed to create to show the growing danger.
"Well, my father is very supportive of any anti-Ministry action!... He's always saying he'd believe anything of Fudge, I mean, the number of goblins Fudge has had assassinated! And of course he uses the Department of Mysteries to develop terrible p
I agree that Hugh Laurie in an HP would be fantastic, but I can’t imagine Dr. House as Greyback.
Bob Hoskins would have been a great Amycus, tho. I’m not familiar with either of the actors talked about here. Must go do some research, huh?
