There are reports online tonight saying that actor Dave Legeno has been cast in the role of werewolf Fenrir Greyback for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We are uncertain if his part will be part CG, similar to Grawp in “Order of the Phoenix” or how this character will appear in the sixth Harry Potter film, and will update with more when we get it.

UPDATE: There is word now that actor Ralph Ineson has been cast in the part of Death Eater Amycus Carrow in “Half-Blood Prince” as well.

Update 2: According to the Snitchseeker, a few more minor background characters have been cast. Please regard all of these as rumor until confirmed by Warner Brothers.

Thanks to Jamie, Nico, and the Snitch.

lol….hey DeathlyH you know what i was thinking exactly the same thing. i mean Gerard Butler already looks like he descended from a werewolf, i mean remember 300? every time he yelled this is sparta you would just really wonder how much of Fenrir’s madness and fanaticism was in him… oh well, too bad, cause then i could just hate Butler more…if thats even possible.

but their casting has been great so far, i’m not complaining…except for Gambon. that was a serious error. everytime i see him act as DD i want to slap myself.

Someone on the Lounge boards once mentioned Hugh Laurie for Xeno Lovegood, and since then I haven’t been able to get that picture out of my head; Hugh Laurie in a long night shirt and wellies!

I think these two new people look fine, Legano has a kind of wolfish look to his nose and ears in some photos I’ve seen, so CGI could do pretty good. I can’t tell how tall Ineson is. I picture Amycus as a really short stocky man. But the face looks kind of how I imagined.

I’m sorry, pardon my ignorance but I have never heard of either of these actors. [I never watch The Office as I don’t like Ricky Gervais] Why cast relative unknowns when there are many well known actors who have stated how much they would like to be cast in a Harry Potter film?

Yay, let’s cast a bunch of useless characters (barring the two Death Eaters mentioned here) and forget Yaxley!

Lame. And where are the Gaunts? Ian McShane would have been an awesome Greyback.

What about shane mcgowan as fenrir or one of the more wrecked looking death eaters they wouldnt have to do much to him he’s kinda got that look going for him already!? hmm perhaps not…. I cant wait fo the film but I do wish they would stop changing things from the book that could have been left well alone. Pat, its much better to have kinda unknown actors becaus then you’ll be more likely to see them as the characters they’re playing rather than thinking of them in the last role they played, plus they wouldnt want anyone too big stealing the limelight from the lovely tri eh!?

Guess That Book

History of Magic was by common consent the most boring subject ever devised by Wizard-kind. Professor Binns, their ghost teacher, had a wheezy, droning voice that was almost guaranteed to cause severe drowsiness within ten minutes, five in warm weather.
